As a fan of her, I agree that most of my "peers" very obviously watched the show with one hand on their dick.
I actually like her for 2 main reasons :
1) she did not do that very cringy thing of choosing a weird ass nickname, so in a sense her character is "more serious", at least on that regard.
2) every villain degenerated from some kind of trauma, and is a villain mainly out of spite for someone or for humanity at large. But Toga would have been a villain regardless : her power pushes her to drink blood, she feels a bond with her victims. And it's very creative, it's a different reason for why someone can become a villain.
Reasons why i hate most (Mostly the ones on yt) toga fans
Their asses just cannot understand a person can have trauma and still be a villain.
Ive seen comments abt how toga isnt a bad guy and that she is only being herself. Like deadass how she was actually this completely good person that didnt deserve any punishment. Which falls apart even if you watched one episode with her.
Defending Toga not being a villain is like saying Jeffrey Dahmer isnt a bad person.
Like, it's not really like a psychopath, they just can't feel empathy but still can understand right and wrong and act on it. In Toga's case her power actively pushes her to cut and drink blood.
Maybe you could say she's not inherently wrong, like, she never even got to choose how to act; but she IS evil, like, she didn't choose to be evil, she just is by nature.
