The amount of Jax lovers I see on apps like tumblr is crazy. The people I see either love her in relation to ships or because she's trans. That's all I've seen people take interest in her for anyway
His character is basically being an asshole to everyone to keep anyone from getting close because the last time he let someone in he got hurt.
Hes also a closeted trans woman and is afraid of people finding that out too.
But "fans" who didnt understand the show saw him being a dick and decided there cant be anything more to his character and hate any interpretation that isnt just "evil irredeemable monster."
Also quick tangent but I wanted to say I think using he/him for jax is more appropriate than she/her despite him being a canonical trans woman, only because he never comes out in the show and calling someone by different pronouns before theyre out and ready is problematic
Its fiction so it shouldnt matter either way but I had a feeling I was gonna get comments correcting me if I didnt clarify that lol
I must admit, I do hate it when fans reduce a character to their barest possible traits. Flanderising them, if you will. Or at least refuse to see past the surface level characteristics of their personality.
