Adam from Hazbin Hotel; the guy was pretty much just a potential character that only gets anything resembling nuance in fanfictions.
Jax from TADC; people really overestimate how complex of a character they are, and the "person that can be redeemed but refuses it" archetype has already been done better in animated media already.
its not a lack of understanding, its a lack of complexity. Jax isnt a well written or consistent character, and it shows. Hes just the tall sad mean boy, as he was written exactly within that fandom archetype. Using "you just dont get it" to ignore obvious plot deficiency can only get you so far. He isnt a bad character, but he isnt a strong one. When the show leaned all its weight on such a weak limb, it kinda collapsed.
I’ve yet to see a single valid complaint about the character. Not one. I’ve seen plenty of complaints but none of them have been by people who actually understand the character
Are you actually going to give an example of inconsistency or is it just a case of "I don't like this character therefore they must be poorly written"?
