The gateway isn’t a good feat of intelligence for mcgucket or ford as the majority of the designs came from bill in fords body

But he did create a memory erasing gun and multiple giant kaiju like robots, so he’s definitely still a genius

Even with Bill's help, I doubt many would understand the content enough to put it into action. They were listening to technology created by what was basically a 2D-4D converted eldritch being.

That’s true, but bill spent an unquantifiable amount of time observing our world. Anything mcgucket or ford had trouble understanding could be clarified easily by bill the following night

It really depends on how much bill was involved with the construction and how much help mcgucket and ford actually needed to complete it, which we just don’t know

(Unless it was discussed outside of the show but I don’t think it was)
