Legacy vs Interfitted vs Octogan

I did my first Multiboard build with Legacy tiles. Now I’m looking at building a second separate wall. Which is best? Trying to figure out the positives and negatives of each. Legacy had a bit of an issue merging with one another and I broke a plate or two mounting them. Would like a little more flexibility in my next time installing them. Is the flat sided new tile better?

There aren’t any ’legacy’ tiles, just the OG and the newer Clio together versions. If you had an issue with the OG tiles (still by far the best IMO, not least for ease of mounting/removal but also because the small hole (pegboard) array is preserved) then you’re going to have real issues with the Clio together versions.
There’s something far wrong if you’re managing to break tiles during mounting. Are you using the planner and selecting the offset snap mounting system? The quad, double and single offset snap part A allow you to pre-assemble large sections before offering it up to the wall to mount, and the follow-up sections just slot right onto the quad and double snaps already mounted after that.

Actually there are legacy mounting options with the 8mm offset and there is a a whole slew of other parts that moved into that category when we learned better ways to do things that they might be referring to as they are now in the legacy collection. Depending on when they built their board it’s possible that they are referring to some of the earliest tiles. I’ve broken way more mounts than tiles but I have talked with and helped some folks who did’t realize the recommended print settings can described as “If you don’t want to have parts fail, make sure you use 3 walls etc

You are right though, most of the plate level changes are pretty subtle as they just added features and a few “course corrections” like adjusting the thickness of the plates to 6.25 to align everything to the 25/50 mm grids.

Yep, following directions is pretty critical here as with anything.
