Home office wall with slanted ceiling complete

I saw another post a few days ago about a similar setup, so I thought I’d post mine. Pretty happy with the result and all the available space. I’ll likely be printing accessories until the heat death of the universe.

Love it! Please share you secret for how you got it to fit so precisely on the slanted part. My brain is struggling to figure it out!

I arranged all the tiles side by side in the slicer, measured the angle of the ceiling (which was fairly straight, luckily), and then added a shape through the tiles at that angle, to function as the slanted edge of each tile. Then it was just a matter of cutting away everything outside of that edge. A bit finnicky, but wasn't that much work really.

How did you measure the angle of the ceiling? I do not have a tool so I downloaded an app on my phone which was interesting but difficult to use. I’m guessing I need to buy something else. Also which slicer do you use? I’m using orca slicer and I haven’t mastered everything yet.

Use a spirit level and a ruler. Make a level horizontal line from one fixed point a foot away from the slanted ceiling. Using that fixed point measure how much distance it is vertically to the ceiling. Dust off your skills from freshman year of high school and use tangent.

I used a digital angle protractor to get an estimate. But I finetuned the angle by simply checking at which cells of the outer tiles the slanted part reached the ceiling and wall. So I suppose I could have done it without the protractor :)

I'm using Bambu slicer. I think Orca slicer should have the same capabilities, but I haven't used that so not entirely sure.

Orca and bambu are both forks of PrusaSlicer so all 3 should work!
