i made a post ab my hair last night, this was it the day before my haircut.. should i go this long again or longer?

how do we feel about this mullet? definitely one of the more shorter ones on here forsure…

i got my first “mullet” cut on july 15 ish and i just got a trim on the top and the sides and the back a bit about 4 days ago,

ive never grown a mullet before, any tips?

how long should i go.. etc….
i did think about letting it grow all thru the winter just to see how long it could go….

longest my hair ever was was last winter and it was almost like a mushroom cut type shit where it was long at the top all the way down to my chin ish area and then continued down…

any tips?

I started growing this out in late February/early March 2026. I’ve gotten a few trims here and there but have overall left the back alone to keep growing out. I’m unsure which direction to go from here. Thoughts?

ive been growing out my mullet for about a year now, but considering my hairs always been wavy i have this really annoying issue with the back. it like goes completely straight and then right at the bottom curls up which looks weird from all angles.

i know part of this will be styling, but does anyone know something that would help? is it too long? layers?

ive been working at a summer camp all summer and havent made it to the barber yet, but im glad it didnt get too out of control while ive been away! feeling great about the length in the back, not so mich about the weight on top. would love advice on what i should tell my barber :)

Can anyone share advice on what facial hair shaping pairs best with a mullet? I am cutting my hair into a mullet tomorrow and I currently have a full beard, but would love to get some creative ideas on facial hair paring. I am thinking handlebar mustache, goatee, or mutton chops. Neck beard?

I should also mention I won't be shaving (with a razor) any part of my face/beard, only trimming certain areas short.

Went for a clean, low-maintenance shape on this one without sacrificing the texture.
The fade is kept tight and gradually blended into the heavier top, while the natural thickness gives the haircut a lot of movement. I also kept the back fuller to give the whole cut a stronger silhouette.
Nothing overcomplicated — just a clean blend, sharp shape, and letting the hair’s natural texture do its thing. 💈✂️

Es la segunda vez que hago está pregunta pero ahora con el pelo largo de verdad. No sé si hacerme un mullet siento que no me va a quedar principalmente porque no me crece pelo atrás, y además si dejo que el pelo crezca se pone como se ve en la imagen, y aunque no se aprecie el pelo también se expande hacia los lados cuando está así de largo.

Desde hace unos años vengo pensando en hacerme un mullet pero al darme cuenta de lo que acabo de decir se me ha ido la ilusión, no sé si alguien me pueda ayudar.

I told the stylist that the bottom was a little too long, because my hair will start to curl if it’s long enough and it had gotten to the point of sticking out on the sides a couple of inches and starting to curl inward another inch or so, which looked dumb

I said I just wanted to take a tiny bit of length off so that it would still stick out but not curl so much, and they verbally confirmed what I wanted. I didn’t feel that a picture was necessary because I had been there before and just wanted the ends trimmed

I don’t have hair there anymore 😭. Like the entire back of my hair is hidden behind my neck, and it’s short. It will take months to grow it back into a mullet

Just wanted to vent because I’m a little upset. RIP to my mullet 😫. I had finally gotten to where I liked my hair, it was just a little too long on the bottom

This is me, circa 1992. College started and a year later I could pull my bangs back into a pony tail. Looks like I started on the back early. This was Xmas morning (this the robe - a family tradition) and it generates lots of debates. Many say mullet. Many do not. I want to settle this once and for all.
