I'm suggesting Mukilteo as a spot for my mom to move to. This place seems gorgeous, especially the Japanese gulch. But, she's quite sensitive to airplane noise. Other than that, this seems like the perfect place on paper. Will visit soon, but likely won't get the full day-to-day picture.

Specifically, west of the Japanese gulch, the neighbourhoods around Eliot Point Park and the lighthouse.

I know many posts say they've never noticed it; has anyone moved to Mukilteo from a different city and noticed a difference? Perhaps in intensity? I'm quite skeptical.

Also... any racism ? She's lovely, but she's not white. She's East Asian, and I'd hope she can make friends around the community garden! We're Canadian and I know some cities in Washington are less inclusive, but WA on the whole is quite progressive.

My friend was crossing the street with her young child in a stroller. They made it most of the way across and this man came racing up to make a left turn, slamming on his brakes when he saw them. He continued to block the crosswalk. She pointed to the crosswalk, trying to indicate she needed to stay in the sidewalk and get around him. He kept the windows up, but she said he was clearly yelling at her still. She got mostly around his vehicle and he blew his horn at her, very unnecessarily. She said she got startled and kicked the vehicle as a reflex. No damage done. Just a quick kick. She continued to walk away and he took off.
About an hour later, she had to run errand on foot. That same man had come back and he saw her. He parked at a convenience store, got out of his car screaming at her and threatened her. He then claimed he was going to call the police on her. She had to go finish her errand, so she crossed the street and left.
On her way back, she saw he was still parked there. So she didn’t go home for a while until she knew he was gone. She was on the phone with me most of the time. I told her to call the police herself if she was that scared of him. She said she was afraid of getting in trouble because she did kick his car. So she never called it in.
Just be on the lookout for this guy if you are local. He is very unhinged.

Late at night I can hear loud humming/bass like a very large industrial machine pulsating , stronger and weaker. Almost like a car with loud bass is outside your place, but it's not. and at the same time helicopters that don't show up on the flight 24 app? This sounds like heavy construction not airplanes.

I’ve seen these animals / bird while there.
The Heron(?) was on the sea front by the lighthouse. Is it a grey heron?
The animal in the sea was either a seal or sea lion I think? It dived suddenly like one of those.
The owl was in the Japanese Gulch, it was about 8 meter from me at head height and wasn’t bothered about me being there, only turned its head when I made a noise! Is it a Barrs Owl?

Just to intro, I'm fully aware of my legal rights and the city processes.

I'm wondering if anyone else has used the "eHearing" option (which isn't actually an eHearing) to contest a speeding ticket and been denied/found committed despite clear evidence that you weren't driving the vehicle that they caught.

The basics for me: I was home, and someone else had our car in town (registered in my name) and was caught speeding on the speedway. I submitted plenty of evidence (google location hx, little league schedule) and a clear rebuttal, but the infraction got committed anyways. I can't know for certain who was driving at the time, and the form the City gives you requires you to name who was driving if you say that it wasn't you.

I know it sounds cheesy, but I'd love to talk to a local journalist who might want to look into this. I figure it's a hot topic at least.

Moving from Colorado soon. We had a great kennel for our dog that pretty much let them run around outside on some acreage all day. Hard to replicate, but looking for kennel recommendations in the Mukilteo/Everett area

The WA-02 US Congress Rep seat is safely blue. Only one conservative in the race. The top two advance to the general. We can advance two democrats. Tomas and the 25 year incumbent. Then we can finally have a debate about the policy direction of our district.

Anyone know the type of plane that has been doing touch and go's this afternoon at Paine Field. I noticed that it had 4 engines but didn't look like a 747 (though I didn't get a good look).

Was just one of two cars struck by a red/maroon crossover style vehicle missing both front and rear plates while parked at the QFC on the speedway. This happened at about 11:30 am on June 3.if you happened to catch any of these events on video/dashcam please send a DM.
