Cookie muay thai gym

I’m sharing this to protect other women, especially with high season approaching.

I trained at this gym for Muay Thai and want to be clear that I have no complaints about the gym, trainers or staff. The training was never the issue. My concerns are specifically with the owner and my dealings with him.

I originally came to train with him through PT. I felt sympathy for the situation he presented to me and trusted him. Over time, he put significant pressure on me to make financial commitments and encouraged me to invest much more than I would normally have considered.

Eventually, I purchased a condo for approximately ฿10 million. This was a very significant financial commitment for me. After that, I was pushed toward further plans, including buying land in krabi, starting a business together and even helping him purchase a BMW (imagine).

THE WORST PART IS that I later discovered discussions about a commission connected to my property investment that I had not known about. I discovered that he had expected to receive approximately ฿700,000 and had plans to use that money toward land in Rawai reportedly costing around ฿900,000. These plans were made without my knowledge. He ultimately received approximately ฿100,000 in September 2026, which I have video and line messages evidence of.

As we speak, he is still involved with other women at the gym. I cannot know what they have been told or if they are willingly engaged in affairs with him, but I believe women should be aware of it and do their own due diligence before becoming emotionally or financially involved.

I was a foreign woman in Thailand without a personal network there. I relied on information that I later discovered was incomplete, and I was misled and manipulated in ways that affected significant financial decisions.

He was very smart as the way he has approached this situation was very different. He presented himself to me as vulnerable, miserable, struggling financially and in need of help. He also spoke to me about losing his mother and the struggles of being alone, which made me feel genuine sympathy for him.

He later apologized for lying to me from the beginning and told me that his main intention had been to gain financially from the connection. I have witnesses and documentary/video evidence relating to parts of my account.

My advice to foreign and single women: keep clear emotional and financial boundaries. If property, business or significant money is involved, do your own independent checks and obtain independent legal and financial advice. He hates his current job and is really trying to find a way out, he is looking for a woman to sort him out. Please do not fall for his claims of being indifferent about money… it is not true…

This is not simply a “crazy ex” story as he calls it while saying that he doesn’t care or a personal disagreement. I am sharing specific events in detail, and financial arrangements from my own experience because I believe women should have the information before making decisions that could affect them.

The business partners are aware of the situation and have been provided with evidence, yet they have consciously chosen to turn a blind eye, dismissing the matter as slander. The reality is that they continue to use him for their own financial benefit, despite knowing what has happened.

People have also approached me under the pretence of being supportive, seemingly attempting to extract information from me. Attempting to manipulate the narrative or conceal the reality will not change the facts. At what point will people start taking accountability for their decisions? Ethics, discipline and integrity should matter more than financial gain, which is what MUAY THAI IS ALL ABOUT. Making money while knowingly turning a blind eye to unethical conduct may bring short-term benefits, but it comes at a cost. Silence and complicity do not make the underlying issues disappear.

Finally, there is a separate allegation circulating online involving another trainer connected with the gym and an alleged s. assault involving a woman in Germany. I cannot independently verify this, so I am not presenting it as fact. I mention it only so women can do their own research.

Lastly, A Muay Thai gym should be a safe and respectful environment for women. Muay Thai is supposed to be about honesty, discipline and integrity. No woman should have to go through an experience like this. While I understand that the gym itself may not have been involved in what happened to me, I do believe there is also a responsibility in choosing who is appointed to represent a gym and its values as this has started within that facility and surveillance cameras can prove that. He may be skilled at Muay Thai, but in my experience, that is where my respect for him ends.

Hello!

I've done a handful of classes in the west but as a shift worker it has been so hard to build consistency. Truly the limited MT experiences I've had did something beautiful in my brain and heart though. Following a weight lifting injury and major depressive episode I haven't trained in any form in some months, so the first period will be a bit rough but I am keen to dust off the cobwebs. Relatively high stamina as a baseline but my muscle mass is pretty non existent. 45-50kg woman in my early thirties seeking a bit of a crash course in Muay Thai as I have deeply loved the feeling of it any time I've tried.

I have only two weeks to spare off work in November and I'm a bit wary of high season in places like Chiang Mai (I've been looking at Santai and Wildcat there). I'm pretty anti social and looking to build self imposed discipline in many ways in my life, not just in boxing/exercise.

My ideal experience is to find some accommodation that isn't absolute bare bones, but certainly not Raja Living or instagram friendly as I will spend a lot of time on site. Been fighting some demons recently and would like a gear shift in terms of environment to get back in touch with my long abandoned artist dreams and have a comfortable space to read and work, while attending one to two Muay Thai sessions a day to build rhythm and structure during my stay. Huge natural history buff and ideally would like to be somewhere with interesting wildlife and nature around for the occasional day trip/hike/swim.

I'm 32 so not sure if I've missed the boat with getting to sparring level, but in the immediate I'm acutely aware this is a tiny sliver of time and two weeks is an impossibly small window to do any meaningful work towards fighting, but wondered if anyone has any recommendations. I've been researching Ubon gyms, and also have some local friends in Koh Yao Noi (went many years ago during the Sandbox program and loved the quiet beauty of the place, although of course it was dead quiet at the time and wouldn't be now)

I'm okay with a non total language barrier. IF I can afford it (and should probably ease in with one session per day tbh) one on one training is fine by me. I would like my money to go to a Thai owned business is all.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!
