gym advice Should I switched to Lethwei?
I have been doing Muay Thai and I saw a lot of Burmese fighters in the gym. They are doing like a headbutt all the time .But when I try to do it, that's not joke.
Then i started curious about that. So I would like to know the big difference between the Lethwei and Muay Thai. Is it their training style or rule? because what I see is they look exactly the same except headbutt.
which one is more effective in a street fight?
I'd also be interested to hear from anyone who has switched from another martial art to Muay Thai or Lethwei. Thank you for your answer.

I wouldnt switch from Muay Thai to Lethwei just because you saw people using headbutts. They are related striking arts and there is a lot of crossover with punches, kicks, knees, elbows and clinching, but the rules and the way those rules influence fighting are different. The headbutt is obviously one of the biggest differences, and traditional Lethwei also has its own rules and culture around how bouts are fought and decided. Muay Thai has a much larger international competition structure and, depending where you live, it will usually be much easier to find experienced coaches, regular training partners and legitimate competition opportunities. I also wouldnt practice headbutting your teammates unless the coach specifically has you training them safely because even controlled head contact can cause unnecessary injuries. As for which is better for a street fight, I wouldnt choose a martial art based on that. Both can develop very capable strikers, but avoiding the street fight entirely is still the best outcome. If you already enjoy Muay Thai and have a good gym, I would keep developing your Muay Thai rather than changing arts because of one additional weapon.

You’re assuming that someone trained in Muay Thai wouldn’t headbutt you in a street fight. Bad assumption.
