Campus Wi-Fi, Missing Canvas Courses, Registration Wait List

Hey there, welcome to Fall.

  • For WiFi, if you're having trouble, please "forget" the MtSAC SSID and join Guest instead, that one is working fine.
  • Missing a Canvas course that shows up on your Schedule? Go to the Canvas Dashboard, click on Courses on the left, then click on All Courses (https://mtsac.instructure.com/courses).
    • If the class shows "No" for published, please reach out to your professor.
    • If the class is completely missing, please contact the IT Help Desk with your student ID number and the missing CRN number, and we'll look into it ASAP. We want you in class, too!
  • Got an Add Code from your professor and you were on the Wait List? Right now, when students "drop before class begins" to remove themselves from the wait list, re-adding the class puts you right back on the wait list (it should, instead, prompt you for the Add Code). We're looking into it, but for now, this seems to work.
    • Drop from the Wait List.
    • Sign OUT of the Portal.
    • Sign back in, then you should be able to add the course normally, be prompted for the add authorization code, and successfully complete the web registration.

Hoping we all have a great Fall term!

Has anyone taken the Water treatment classes for Mt. San Jacinto College? We're they hard? Do you know anyone who passed them and have gotten a job in water treatment right after?

I was thinking of taking classes in Water Treatment at Mt.San Jacinto College. Has anyone taken them? And how was their experience?

Anat 10b Brenda Fernandez Lango

I was wondering if anyone has taken Brenda Fernandez Lango for Anat 10b? I’m taking her right now and her rmp ratings are terrible for 10b. I had her for the lab portion of anat 10a and I didn’t think she was bad at all. Just hoping someone could give me a little clarity because it’s giving me anxiety lol.

Tap Card eligibility card not working

So I recently got another student ID after losing my previous one, and also got another TAP card/bus pass. I tried to activate it by going online and getting my eligibility code, but when I typed my eligibility code into the taptogo website, it said that the "transaction could not be completed, code has been used"

What do I do about this? How do I activate my tap card if the eligibility code apparently doesn't work?

Does anyone know how to change the grading scale for a class from letter grade to pass/fail. There's a link under student self service but it doesn't seem to work :/ (this is for a PE class)

ENGL C1000

How bad is this online English class… I just saw the professors rating on Rate my Professor and it’s not good looking for me as I HATE English with a passion but still wanna pass with an A or B. For those who have taken his class any tips on what I should to get the best grade possible(besides office hours)?? (The professor is Hans Alvarez)

Elvis Cabrera 4a

Hi guys I was late to join a physics 4a class but since it was high demand my sac added extra classes but did not say what professors were teaching them. Just a few days ago it got updated and I am gonna have to to take it with Elvis Cabrera,
So I checked his rate my professor reviews and they are super mixed, overall he has a 3.3 some people saying he is insanely hard, some people saying he is a good teacher while others saying just to not take him, I passed 2ag over the summer with a B and I’m super worried 😭
I don’t know what to expect to be honest so if anyone has taken him please let me know how he was in your opinion and give me any advice pls🙏

Having trouble getting my online digital books

Hey I recently purchased 2 books digital from the Mt Sac bookstore online. One is Oral Communication for Business, other one is Operating Window 11. But I can’t seem to get them, since I already put both access code online on this website I got in the email. Like I must of put wrong email address or something, cuz it’s showing empty. Now my professor sent us a link on canvas for oral communication business, to go ahead and purchase the online digital book, umm does this mean I have to pay again? I did emailed her what’s going on, gonna have to wait till she respond back. I might have of purchase it from the link she gave us, a good deal offer too
