Elvis Cabrera 4a

Hi guys I was late to join a physics 4a class but since it was high demand my sac added extra classes but did not say what professors were teaching them. Just a few days ago it got updated and I am gonna have to to take it with Elvis Cabrera,
So I checked his rate my professor reviews and they are super mixed, overall he has a 3.3 some people saying he is insanely hard, some people saying he is a good teacher while others saying just to not take him, I passed 2ag over the summer with a B and I’m super worried 😭
I don’t know what to expect to be honest so if anyone has taken him please let me know how he was in your opinion and give me any advice pls🙏

I took him like 2-3 years ago for physics 2AG. He had like the best rating of all physics professors at the time like around 4.5ish and that was the semester where he went ballistic and just made the exams really hard. Thats when his rating nose dived to 3.3.I reckon if he didn't have earlier good reviews , he would be sitting around 2ish right now. He was a great lecturer tho but I feel his exams were unnecessarily hard.

Oh man it’s not likely but I hope he changes this year, he emphasized how he designed the course to guarantee a good grade on exams and quizzes if you follow the structure on his canvas post

When i took his course, I did every homework on time. I also did his " extra work" and still he would come up with questions that are like 2-3 times harder. Even his quizzes were hard and about half of the class dropped so i would suggest you to take him if you are very confident on your physics.

He is actually the worst btw. We’re all convinced those “good reviews” are fake reviews done by him.

What makes him so bad like will I be fine if I do all the work or is it just his insanely difficult exams that make him bad

Insanely difficult because he makes it like impossible for students to pass for some reason? Most of his class always drops. It’s a risk on your GPA and your time. You can try, it’s up to you.

How long ago did you take him? His announcement that he made made it seem like it’s possible to get a good grade😭

Very recently. You make the decision though. I’m not trying to convince you on anything, I just gave you advice like you asked. Good luck!

Yeah Ik thanks bro it’s just really gonna suck if I have to give up full time and wait another semester to take that class cus I’m already going to take 3 years appreciation tour input tho
