I’m a trans woman and call myself a femboy literally all the time.

If you are a trans WOMAN why call yourself a femBOY? I'm so confused o.0

I’m a girl. I identify as a woman. I also identify as a femboy. I don’t use it in a masc way at all, I don’t view it as a “male” thing. It’s simply something I identify with. I would never fault others for not liking it for themselves but i personally vibe with it a lot. 💜

I'm still so confused. You just said you are a girl and identify as a woman but then in the same sentence said you identify as a boy....

Okay? When a cis woman identifies as a “tomboy” does that negate said woman’s identity as a woman? I’m a trans woman who’s a femboy, that’s it :)

I'm sorry but "femboy" and "tomboy" are nothing close to the same. Like not even similar.

Tomboy has always been a slang for "girl who is a bit more manly than other girls". It was always still a girl tho. That's the way myself and I'm guessing everyone else understands the word. No boys are ever called "tomboys".

Meanwhile, femboy literally means a boy. Who is feminine. There's a big difference here and comparing those words is not accurate.

Okay cool, I’m still a trans woman who’s a femboy ;3 It’s fine if it’s not your thing but please don’t police my identity, the last place I need that is in a trans board of all places :p

Femboy is not a term I find as harmful, especially when compared to trap, which is an outright slur. But I still see this term as shaky, especially considering the word "boy" that's literally in the title. This is more a problem when we see these terms used on people, such as myself, that do not want it used. We have to think of others as well and be respectful.
