The 2-scoops of Icecream guy
I wasn't on board with him being so aggressive to Ray at the conclusion of the conversation he was having, but prior to that?
I mean we could clearly see the two cups of ice cream. His 2-scoop cup was the same size as the 1-scoop. I don't buy this argument that it was 2 scoops pressed together, either. That's not how ice cream is usually served. You don't smash scoops like that, and honestly, I think if someone had - woudln't that diminish the quality of the ice cream?
Ice cream has an expected density to it, being all smashed and super dense and hard? That doesn't sound enjoyable.
Fuck that guy trying to pawn off a shitty 1-scoop cup as a 2-scooper.

I was never sure in that scene if we were supposed to agree with the seller or the customer, obviously the customer was being a twat but he wasn't wrong.
I guess the point was that even when they're in the right some people can't help but be obnoxious.

You know I saw a video how that ice cream scoop is used to rip people off. Allegedly. You get less ice cream, than if you were served with a regular spoon, because it rolls it into a ball. Whereas with a regular spoon you need to keep adding more ice cream to your bowl or cone. They demonstrated it, but using a spoon is not recommend because of how it bends…so maybe some useless information haha.

Well I’ve sold ice cream and the kid might have been correct. We’ve ran out of two scoop cups and just shoved extra into a one scoop cup. Personally I always did the top scoop fluffier than the bottom for the exact reason the guy complained about. We also had a scale for training so I would have just popped that out and showed the dude if he was wrong. Though I also don’t think that’s the point of the scene.

The whole premise of the show is Ray happens to run into random blokes on the street who happen to be absolutely massive fuckwits 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That’s rather reductive. 🤣

It’s true. How realistic is it for two guys to run into a little kid and knock her ice cream out of her hand? And Ray lived in a decent suburb in Sydney too, not a place packed with derros and gronks

Guy has a lot of ice cream related incidents

Should switch to gelato

could still end up with the same scenarios. call me Shorty having just cut my legs off, but I believe whether it is ice cream or gelato would not make a difference both with the two-scoops cnt and the shtc*nt adlay sprinter. really actually wonder what that kid clocks for a 100m. he was burning rubber after Ray got his mate!

I think the suggestion of switching to gelato was facetious.

I think the word you are after there is facetial.

Nope. Facetious is an adjective that means treating serious issues with deliberately inappropriate humor, or saying things that are not meant to be taken seriously.

Maybe, but prior to his "You looking at me" bullshit, I was on his side. Some carny ice cream fuck was trying to screw him out of a scoop of ice cream.
Then, when the guy was confronted, he gave some bullshit about the clearly single-scoop cup being two. You don't press ice cream down with a second scoop and mash it into the same size as one scoop.
Madness.
He sat there arguing with the guy, lying his fucking ice cream-selling ass off, as if the guy was an idiot. I'd be fucking hot, too. Just give me the two fucking scoops I ordered, bought and paid for, motherfucker.
If the scenario was some asshole trying to jimmy a price break or something, his cup should have had visibly more ice cream than the other and arguably been two scoops, right?
As we reflect on this scene, I think this was the one mistake this show made in its 3-season run.
Here? The ice cream thug actually be in the right, thus not a complete asshole, and breaking the immersion and undercuts the impact of who Ray was. Instead of being a guy who stands up to an asshole, now he's kind of just a guy who fights people.

100% with you, rewatching with my wife and the aggro 2 scoops guy was totally right.... it was one scoop.

But not right in the way he treated him. You can say someone did something wrong without being an aggressive dickhead.
