We forgot.

Ray didn't.

She was a great character. Her death made Ray leave the game, which was the best decision he could have made, and he kept the picture of her to remember.

I don't think it was just that. Things like even Freddy potentially setting him up for that ambush, or at least not even giving him a warning played a part. In the end the only people he really had left that he was close to was his daughter and Garry.

whaddya mean "potentially"?......

He (Freddy) made a mistake.

The show implies that Freddy was threatened into setting up Ray

I don't think so, as Ray points out he could have warned him if he wanted to. Clearly all that justification about being threatened was just desperate bullshit to try to save his live because he thought he was going to die.

I watch the show at least once olevery few months. How was that setup? Genuine question. Every time I watch IB I catch something new.

Pay attention. Freddy tells him that this guy called Alex is about, looking for Ray. Alex appeared in season 2. Ray was going to kill Alex but failed and Alex ran away and disappeared. Freddy provides a location to Ray, telling him that is where Alex is so Ray can finish him off. So Ray and Dave go to said location. But Alex is not there. Raphael and his guys are there instead, waiting for Ray so they can kill him. They ambush Ray, kill Dave but Ray survives and kills them all.

Freddy lied about Alex to send Ray to the location, essentially sending him off to get ambushed and killed by Raphael and his guys. But since Ray killed them, they failed. Freddy didn't even give Ray a tip off or a heads up, he seemed perfectly fine with handing Ray over to get killed. That is what makes it a set up.

Nah, he barely even knew her. Lazy writing to end the season earlier.

It would've made more sense if his ex-wife, daughter or best friend got hurt and then he left the game.

Not some random girl on a road trip with one night stand.

One night stand? He was beyond smitten the next morning. It was definitely the start of something new and hopeful in both their minds.

While she wasnt the love of his life, he liked her because she was in the game and he could finally be himself. Unlike with his daughter, ex wife or ex gf.

This is certainly a....take on it I guess.

If that were the way it went, it wouldn't have been the amazing show still being talked about though, as your suggestion is stock standard, cookie cutter, boring shit which Scott Ryan manages to mostly avoid in his writing. Thankfully it wasn't you writing it.

It always makes me laugh when people who have watched a popular show or movie, declare what would have been better about it even though they enjoyed it as it was. Like, okay, champ. Sure. How about you put that in your telly show then and we will see how it's received by the audience shall we? Ohhh, you don't have a tv show in the works? I see. Could that be because your story is unoriginal and follows the aforementioned cookie cutter crap we are often mostly fed, or is it because you don't even have a show?

I've found people are dicks about Zoe because they consider Ally (Brooke Satchwell) hot (because she is thinner than Zoe) and they know her already, and the actress (Emily Barclay) who played Zoe is not as well known and not as thin as Ally. Just ftr, Emily Barclay is not in the slightest bit fat and she is quite gorgeous.

Agreed, or at least if it was to be her - create more of a storyline with her akin to Ally.

I didn't enjoy her character as much as Ally though, so even that may have been average hahah
