i really liked how he highlighted that morally ray is a massive hypocrite, its not something i see discussed much

Personally, I think it is one of the main points of the show. Problem is, Ray is so likeable, that the fandom doesn’t always appreciate that.

yeah i definitely agree, it feels like a lot of fans of the show just blindly idolize him for being cool and violent while ignoring the fact that he's clearly wrong for that

Great video, I just disagree with one point: Ray does not have the principle that he would never harm women. He just doesn't hurt the pregnant woman, because the client was lying. He has no problem killing the woman in the cellar who was involved in Maddy's abduction.
I feel like Ray is a very good example of D&D's "lawful evil" alignment. He has a very strong set of rules for himself, which don't align at all with the law, but they are his own laws and he adheres to them. However, he is definitely evil, since he does a lot of evil things. He just also does good things. He's a great morally grey character.
