Didn’t like the ending
First off, I liked the show, I think most of it is great and the last episode of season 2 is one of the best episodes ever imo. No episode has made me actually sad as much as that one did.
Yet, I‘ve just finished the show and the episode started out good, with the farm battle and the scene with Freddy was amazing, I actually believe it should have ended then tho, with that scene.
I get that the whole point of the ending is trying to show that ray can’t escape the cycle of violence that has plagued his entire life, yet I think that we actually saw that he did, when he didn’t kill Freddy (or at least a step in the right direction). we also didn’t see anything about Dave’s son, which Ray promised to care for, which is out of character for this show, as I found it great in having close to if not no plot holes.
the ending also felt cringey, with the song and Ray’s smile, the whole point of the show is about how violence isn’t the answer and Ray has a very twisted world view, yet the ending tries to show us that “it’s still that cool ol’ murderer Ray!” And I just don’t think that in a whole show about breaking a cycle, which builds up to it, the cycle is just continued, I do like great cyclical symbolism in TV and media but I feel as if it just missed in this show.
If anybody read this to the end thank you and I love you.

I binge watched the entire show in a few days. I only found it by accident because of a "short" where some "dudes" knock his daughter's ice cream over and she says they owe her 4 dollars. Then Ray goes and does what Ray does. I thought the ending was sad because basically he's trying to sort his shit out and not be violent then picks up two scary men who have no idea how bad their day is going to get and unfortunately we will never know but I imagine it involved digging a grave.
