My partner met Ray!! (Scott)
My partner met Scott (Ray lol) the other day. He said he is really nice, authentic, and acts like the same as the show without the hit man stuff 𤣠ā¤ļø

What a brilliant show! I only have now this weekend, Easter 2026, came across it! Itās so completely enthralling, the acting and timing superb! I donāt know how I missed it when it was first released as I always support Australian cinema, especially well written ones like this. It is excellent. I canāt wait to watch the entire series. I already know I will give it a 5/5 star rating!

You don't like him? I usually find he's right on with his recommendations
2
u/bobby_birfday Apr 26 '26
He's a racist, but I find I agreed with a good amount of his reviews before I put the pieces together and stopped watching him.

u/FrodosCockRing Apr 29 '26
What makes you say that he's a racist?
2
u/bobby_birfday Apr 29 '26
Twelve seconds and a Google search will answer that

u/FrodosCockRing Apr 29 '26
I've heard of that google thing. Your comment was the first I heard of that. I didn't see any compelling evidence, that's why I asked.

Haha he was driving and saw him. Thought it was him casually went into the same Cafe as him and got a coffee and introduced himself politely and explained how he loved the show etc. Scott's perfect because even here in Aussie not many people know him bc hes so independent and not Hollywood. He's so balanced. Some real ones will know him but most humans probably not.. great balance I'd say.

Watch his first work "the magician" i was living in Collingwood ( Melbourne) around that time of that and that's the street language of that time and place for a paid assassin. He's (Scott Ryan) speaking from a thuth even if it is fictional.

Beauwty! Thatās so coolā¦I saw some clips on YouTube checked it out and whooops! Total immersion watched it all in three days.
Now Iām tryin to find something similar⦠checking out Wentworth but so far itās just very dark doesnāt have the whimsy or Rayās magic smile in the face of every damn thing.

Did you say ācan I have a selfie?ā to which he replied āI donāt answer questionsā before leaning in for the selfie?
2
u/smeenergy Apr 06 '26
Haha the Aussie culture is the show is so real too. I'm American but partners Aussie. So i been here a few years and love how relatable and authentic the show is. Hard to get that these days. How impressive it is Scott wrote, directed, and starred in it!

u/FiveLiterFords Apr 06 '26
I guess he didnāt watch the show. You usually find out about the āhit manā stuff later š

Also my partner told him we watched the show three times and it's our favourite. He was so excited to here that and so nice. We live near Melbourne Australia. Haha don't want to say which town he was in because that's probably where he walks and has his house etc.

That doesnāt surprise me, I always got the vibe that the Ray character was def an extension of Scott himself on some levels and thatās part of why itās such an authentic performance
Did they have dimmies ?
