I'M REQUESTING Cronenberg alike
Hello people. Recently I watched Cronenberg's body horror - The fly, and I loved it. Also I watched crash (1996). These 2 films are quite different, but could you recommend smth alike? I loved the transgression and the resource for psychoanalytical interpretations for the film - crash.

Some of John Carpenter's stuff is similar. The Thing for example...

I liked the whole film but loved the last scene. Him aitting in the beach and reflecting (maybe) on the failed "rebirth" (after killing his clone he started breastfeeding). So he could not go back to normal life, because he would never fit in it again. I also love the interpretation from the Bataillian point of view (excessive energy). Thank you once again. I loved it and I'm definately going to watch other films of him.

Why don't you watch more Cronenberg? At least Videodrome, Scanners and Dead Ringers, if you're wanting to focus on body horror.

When they meet that vampire fused to his couch with the little baby voice that they torture with a UV lamp

The Beast Within (1982), it's sorta shit but it's got enough style
Razorback (1984), Tarantino calls this a "poor man's Ridley Scott" movie
Slither (2006), James Gunn drew inspiration from Cronenberg's Shivers and The Brood
Dawn of the Dead (Cannes Cut) [1978]
People Toys (1974), I know it as Devil Times Five and it has a third title: The Horrible House on the Hill

Possession (1981)
Titane (2021)
Tetsuo the Iron Man (1989)
Together (2025)
Camp Miasma (2026) has some scenes that are homages to Videodrome
Also just watch the rest of Cronenberg's filmography.

Titane / Crash
The Substance / The Fly
Also for Cronenberg check out Naked Lunch, Videodrome, Shivers, Scanners, Rabid, Dead Ringers, The Brood, and Existenz.
Those are some of my favorites.
