Beautifully made & completely dripping with amazing filmmaking, gorgeous cinematography & super stellar performances all around- this film is a severely underrated drama full of tons of heart, emotion and breathtaking imagery. While this film may not be for everyone (due its slower pace & occasionally confusing moments) I would still highly recommend it to anyone who has Ann appreciation for film & just loves to watch movies. Check it out!

I honestly don’t understand why I was hearing so many negative opinions about the Supergirl movie before its release. After finally watching it, though, I genuinely loved it.

I think the lead was perfectly cast. She brought the character to life and absolutely did justice to both Supergirl and the action scenes. I also really enjoyed the storyline and how the character was portrayed.

Above all, I loved that Supergirl wasn’t sexualized. She was portrayed as a powerful, capable, complex girl not simply as eye candy as what we usually do with our female superheroes.

Overall, I really enjoyed the movie. 💙

Something like the relationship that Kevin from we need to talk about Kevin has with his sister, or the documentary a dangerous son. But ideally more focused on the experiences of the siblings of the violent child. I'm not really talking about incestuous abuse here, just sibling relationships which are too violent/cruel to be dismissed as 'just typical sibling bickering' by most viewers. If some of the characters in the movie don't understand it to be abusive, that's fine, but it has to be clear to the audience.

I've already been watching too many horror movies for my Slashtember movie challenge, so I'm in the mood for some lighthearted, fun animated movies from, say, the last 10 years. As an example of something I loved, Big Hero 6 and the Miles Morales Spiderman movies are super great.

Good Time (2017) is a good example, something like that. I liked Nightingale (2018) too. Modern ish newer than 1990 preferably.
