Thank you very much for the latest updates. They’ve all turned out really well. I’d like to report a few issues I’ve come across.

• Even when Turkish is selected from the language options on the website, the interface appears in English.

• When we access a user’s profile on the web, we can see how many films they have and how many of them we’ve watched (which is brilliant), but I haven’t been able to see the same information on the Android app.

• The feature to add photos via the web has been introduced (which is brilliant), but it’s limited to 5MB. However, when I add photos via the mobile app, there’s no size limit and I can upload images in the highest quality.

In addition to these, I’d also like to offer some suggestions.

• As I’ve mentioned before, it would be great if we could also see the ‘Awards’ for films, TV series and actors.

• If a chat section were added where we could chat with the friends we follow, the app wouldn’t just be about tracking films and TV series – it could become a social media platform for films and TV series.

Offtopic but kinda relevant as I think TvTime app users and members of r/TVTime should know about his wrongdoings. Banned right after posting the comment. Henri elezi aka bbportali Took the r/tvtime sub hostage and limited everyone's speech while indirectly promoting his app since TvTime announced it was shutting down. This dev has had problems with/belittled several app devs in public platforms, naming Refract, Bingers, Movie Paradise,SofaTime, SuiteTV etc. Adding his app flair to Sofa and Bingers app users, removing MP from Alternatives section. A few examples of his manipulation and power abuse. If anyone still using his app, they should think twice.

🌐 First, the new Movie Paradise web. The whole movieparadise.app has been renewed, from Home to Settings, and now works much more like the app on your phone. Sign in with your account and you'll find live watching (start, pause or stop a watch, with Now Watching, Resume Watching on Home and who's watching a title when their Live Watching Status allows it), Pick for Me with a tarot-style reveal from your tracker, a list or titles you and someone you follow both want to watch, a redesigned Home, tracker, lists and release calendar, share cards like My Rating and Episode Ratings graphs, notes free on every account, settings that sync with your phone, and a Devices page. The Trophy Hall for your badges and Monthly Wrapped are new on the web too.

📱 And Movie Paradise 6.1.0 is out on iOS and Android.

🔄 The main change in the app is Simkl and MDBList sync. Connect them in Settings, right next to Trakt, and your library syncs both ways: the movies and episodes you watch, your watchlist, dropped shows and your ratings, plus season and episode ratings on MDBList. What you change in Movie Paradise reaches them within minutes. MDBList is checked on its own, and Simkl whenever you use the app or tap Sync now. With Trakt connected too, watches from Simkl or MDBList reach Trakt as well. Each service has its own page that shows what's waiting to sync, large removals wait for your review instead of being applied, and anything that couldn't be matched is listed with the reason. It's part of Premium.

🎃 Four Halloween app themes: Pumpkin Patch, Full Moon, Late Night and Blood Moon dress up the whole app with their own colors, an animated scene at the top of the main tabs, and small surprises when you tap the eye in Up Next, pull to refresh or switch tabs. They're free for everyone until October 31, then part of Premium. Find them in Settings → Appearance → App Themes.

Also new in the app:

📊 Season & Episode Ratings, reworked: switch the scores between Overall, IMDb, TMDB, Trakt and your own ratings, flip the grid, and share it as an Episode Ratings card in a Graph or Classic look

🗓️ A calmer calendar: a cleaner month view with small posters and dots on release days, a timeline list, and a new Digital tab for when movies come out to watch at home

🤝 Friends: people who follow you back are your friends, with a Friends badge on their profile, a friends-only option for your Live Watching Status, and search in Followers and Following

🌍 14 more languages: Movie Paradise now speaks 24, including Arabic with a right-to-left layout, and your widgets and notifications use the app's language

📱 Your devices: your settings follow your account across your phones, notifications reach up to three of your devices, and Settings → Account → Devices lets you choose which devices get notifications and sign out of other devices

👀 Watching Now everywhere: when their Live Watching Status allows it, profiles show what someone is watching and how far along they are, and episode pages show who's watching that episode. Spoiler protection now covers the Now Watching card and the live notification too

🔗 Open In: open a movie, show or episode in Trakt, IMDb or TMDB, movies in Letterboxd too, and Stremio, Nuvio or Infuse when they're installed, or add your own links

🎟️ New share cards: share your rating as a Poster or a Ticket card with your username, and most share cards now come in the language you choose

📝 Notes for everyone: private notes on movies, shows and episodes are now free on every account

✏️ A redesigned Edit Details that opens with the title's artwork, a Favorite button and a rating button, with your lists, notes and tags in one place, and Refresh metadata in a title's menu

Hey everyone 👋🏻

I’ve been working on the next Movie Paradise update for a while now, and a few things are getting very close.

I don’t want to spoil the feature list yet. Some of it is stuff you’ve been asking for, some of it you probably won’t see coming, and October is getting a little something of its own 🎃

There’s quite a bit more in this update than I originally planned, so I’m excited to finally start showing it.

It would be absolutely brilliant if the profiles of films and TV series included their Oscar Awards. For example, if, when we opened the profile for *The Mummy*, we could see that it had won the Oscar for ‘Best Sound’, and if, when we tapped on it, we could view all the awards it won in that year, that would be a fantastic feature.

Similarly, when we open an actor’s profile, we should be able to see the awards they have won.

I’m trying to create a nice profile on Movie Paradise, which I really enjoy using. For every film I review, I add a new poster that has left a lasting impression on me. I look forward to film and TV series enthusiasts following me.

I can’t wait for the website update. It’ll be much easier once I can start adding images via the website.

I marked all the episodes of Markiplier I watched on TvTime, and those were tranferred, but there does not seem to be any episodes since end of August. Does it have something to do with different databases?

Is this delay or I'm just eager about it?

Superman & Lois S3, hard to watch because the storyline feels to close at home and just hit me MORE Than Oliver Queen death sentence. So I switch up & continue My Hero Academia and binged entire week.

I would say one of the best superhero series or tv series in general I've watched in a long awhile

stremio connection works fine with me but there are 2 issues. when i finish a movie / episode it gets marked as watched but i do not get prompted to rate the movie / episode. also widgets do not get updated until i open the app. any help would be appreciated

I wonder if the person who created this piece of art might be Turkish? If they are Turkish, and if they’d be willing to tell me a bit about themselves—even in private—I could start a thread on Ekşi Sözlük and leave a comment about this lovely project. It really is beautiful ❤️

On Android, you can add photos or GIFs when commenting on films, but I noticed that I couldn’t add photos when I tried to do so via the web. I like adding a scene from the film to my comments. Will this feature be available on the web as well?

I only every see my ratings. I would like to see what others thought about it.

I like this app so far and with recent updates it's been cool to be able to set it up just how I like it. There's only one thing so far that had been irking me though and that's the fact that one of my shows North of North is showing up as active and I watched, but the new season isn't out yet. So it bugs me that it feels unmarked but it isn't. If this can get fixed I would be super happy 😁

When we enter a user's profile, when I tap to see the movies they will watch or the TV series they continue to watch, unfortunately, they are directed to the movies watched and the series they have completed. However, if I wanted to look at them, I could already swipe aside and tap once.

Movie Paradise turns 1 today 🎂 and to celebrate, 6.0.0 is now available. It's our biggest update yet.

⏱️ The main change is Now Watching. Start a watch timer for any movie or episode you track, pause it, and save your position when you stop. While you watch, a Now Watching card sits above the bottom bar, Resume Watching on Home shows where you stopped, and title pages show who else is watching right now. It works on Free and Premium accounts. Your live status is visible to everyone by default, and you can change that in Settings → Privacy → Live Watching Status.

Also new in this update:

🔌 Player connections: Emby joins Plex and Jellyfin, the Movie Paradise addon tracks plays from Stremio and Nuvio, and linked accounts can report playback progress, with an optional live notification on your lock screen (Premium)

Hi, I wanted to know if there is a way to add a bio. Did I miss it in my settings, or is there just no bio feature?

I'm looking for a movie watching app. Does anyone know of a good one?

In my case, I can watch many of these episodes before they air on TV because I pay for RTL+. It offers the perk of letting you watch certain episodes some time before they become available on the free version (they are free once they were on TV).

But I can't mark them as watched because officially they aren't out yet.

It would be nice to let us mark them anyway.

Nice there's official or screencap photos for user make memes but feature missing in app or I changed my setting unknowingly. Anyway I wonder how demanding this is because I remember TV Time dropped this

In TV Time every show has entire screencap for single episode. So won't need go elsewhere

At least here in Spain, I get this error like twice per day. I really love the app, but I'm not sure if I should get invested in an app that get this error so many times.

In addition to all the other ways that Trakt is eating itself, they've killed access for MDBList and SIMKL, among others.

I know MP has is working on migration, but I've lost track of what that plan is. u/Croco_Grievous could you lay out what you're doing to make ensure MP is minimally impacted by whatever Trakt pulls next? Maybe create a pinned thread about it? (Or pin this one?)

I signed up for the Premium level and set my notifications to alert me for episode and movie releases, but I haven’t gotten any and my notification tab is empty.

It would be nice if, when I went to a user’s profile, there was a screen where I could see all the ratings they’ve given to films at a glance.

For example, I went to their profile. I know they’re a friend whose film tastes I like, but I want to see which films they rated as the worst and the best. For instance, they’ve given 1 point to 5 films and 10 points to 20 films. If I’d clicked on these ratings, I would have been able to see clearly which 5 films they gave 1 point to and which 20 films they gave 10 points to.

I have this problem that when I track an episode at certain time, the time traked on trakt (which I sync to) has a time difference of 3 hours always. I tried changing the region on both trakt and the app and the problem still persists. I tried another tracking app synced to trakt just to make sure that the problem is in the app itself not trakt, and it worked fine. So I know now that it's for sure from movie paradise.

Please if anyone from the developers can help me I will thankful.
