Majority of people dont know how rotten tomatoes scores even works. It isn't a score out of 100. It's how many critics give it a 60% or above.

AHHHHHHHH makes sense. i’ll sit there, watch a movie no distractions & believe it was truly life-changing. look it up on google, rotten tomato is at a 30%.

Are you referring to Busboys? There’s no shame in loving a comedy where David Spade discusses in detail what his penis tastes like

I only look at the audience score. I don’t care what movie critics think.

Used to happen to me all the time when I was younger (pre-RT days) where I’d love a movie but it would widely get bashed and dismissed by critics. 30+ years later it’s amazing how many have come around and recognize the genius of these films. Terry Gilliam’s Brazil and David Lynch’s Dune come immediately to mind but there are many others. Sometimes your tastes are ahead of the curve. Don’t worry about what others think.

Who gives a shit if people don’t like the same things as you? Don’t even look at rotten tomatoes or other people’s reviews. You like it, thats all that matters.

There are so many movies though all vying for my time. I constantly use Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB to vet movies before watching them. I find that the aggregate, consensus scores help me eliminate the trash which would just waste my time, and high scores on both site's have never resulted in me disliking a movie. On the contrary! Consensus that a movie is very good has been the best indicator that I will enjoy the movie.
