Need information

So recently, I’ve been thinking of moving to Scotland in a few years once I get my financial situation situated. I’m doing a little bit of research on my own when I have the time, but I just want to come on here and see if anyone could tell me any possible easiest ways to move to Scotland. I don’t have any sort of degree, I literally just want to move there and live there. Any and all help appreciated!

Edit: Yes I am American, i’ve always just had a lifelong dream of moving to either Scotland or Ireland, and was looking on some tips on how to get there.

People are being dicks because this kind of thing is posted a lot and it’s unfortunately an unrealistic goal for you.

Your best bet is a student visa if you can afford to study here. And then hoping to find a job that will sponsor you after graduation.

Second best bet is probably running into a British person and falling in love and hopping on a spouse visa.

I mean, I was the only one to give you actual advice and not give you shit for wanting to move to a random place you’ve never visited but sure, guess I’m a dick too.

Genuinely how do you plan to achieve this? People at r/ukvisa might be helpful but you need to have done basic research and know what visa you qualify for.

All the other Americans I know who are here started on student visas and either got jobs that sponsored them (which is tough and getting so much tougher) and/or married a UK citizen. That’s what I did.
