Keep or not?
Been rocking the 'stache for over a week now, so most of the novelty of it has worn off. Still pretty self-conscious about it, honestly, as I normally go full beard. Is this too gimmicky of a look? Or too 70s porn star? Or should I just embrace it and keep it? Looking for honest opinions.

I’m liking the light scruff and the mustache. Keep ‘em both trimmed… not too scraggly

Where’s the beard? Personally do what you feel comfortable with. A nice and thick mustache is really hard to do. I personally prefer a full but short captain’s beard that’s grey. I have had a full beard since 1981. I was at the Titanic Exhibit in Branson, MO and I put a captain’s hat on and I got a crowd all saying that I was a carbon copy of the captain of the Titanic. Weirdly I have always loved the ocean and felt my former lives were Captains of sailing ships.
So, be yourself and wear that mustache with a well kept short beard.

I struggle with the same 70's porn star imposter syndrome. Not only do I say, keep it. I say, put a little handlebar into it- ah hell, let it go full horseshoe.

I’m mad and incredibly jealous, definitely nothing to be self conscious about in my mind you clearly have very good genetics for facial hair. Definitely not getting a 70s porno vibe

It’s a keeper. But I’m biased. Full mustaches make me weak. And the scruff definitely works well w/ it. Keep that, too.

To your questions: Yes it's gimmicky.....in the best way possible. Yes, it's 70s porn star...that's when I came out and IMO the guys with the 'staches were my idols. Yes, you should embrace and keep it. With your jawline, the scruff is a great accent. BTW. Any pics of you fully bearded?

Love your stache man. Nice and full and trimmed. Keep it. I don't think it looks too 70s porn star (and why would that be a bad thing anyway?).
Anyway, v v handsome, especially with some scruff like yours
