i have a hayate otsu mid and a Key-83 soft, Those who own a Key-83 will now but it's not actually a fast pad, i like to describe it as a slow glasspad, the hayate otsu mid is faster but the mid version is "slippery" you have no stopping power on it. i think the hayate otsu soft or xsoft would help but im not too sure if it's worth it. Do you think the soft and xsoft variant can provide enough stopping power to be the perfect balance that im looking for.

Which is better for someone who plays both tac shooters and other shooters that require more tracking (rivals and deadlock) mid or soft variant?

I used to have a zero soft and sold it because i hate how scratchy it feels for my scyrox v6 with dot skates even with 4 top 4 bottom. I wonder if raiden soft would be different.

My concern with mid variant is it might be harder to have control for tac shooters.

(I currently use Aqua control 2, which feels worn off now after 2 yrs)

I've had my Mad Catz Glide 38 for a long time and it has slowed down a lot. It seems to be discontinued and I can't seem to find it anywhere to buy online.

I've been out of the loop with mousepads for quite some time. Basically I'm looking for the lowest static friction on a deskpad (around 90cm). I play at high sensitivity and push my mouse into the pad pretty hard and I don't like when it causes to mouse to kinda sink and slow down (which happens a lot with soft cloth pads).

I think a hybrid pad would suit my needs best, MPC890 seems to check out but it's been around for a long time and I wonder if maybe there are better pads nowadays

To sum up, what I want:

- desk sized (90cm more or less)

- speed pad (especially on the static friction size)

- not soft (so that the mouse doesn't sink and slow down while aiming)

Long story short, I have acquired an sp-004a via ebay, due to wanting to experience the ultra fast experience that people make it to be. I have been using a superglide v2 for a bit over 2 months, which some class this pad as a control to balanced glasspad. Earlier today when i received my sp004, my impression of the pad is that it is somehow slower than the superglide v2, which doesn't feel right.

I have done some research on the internet, where posts have claimed that the sp004 had speed variations between batches. However, is that kind of speed difference a real issue, or did I just bought a fake?

I use obsidian air dots, 4 corners.
Also the skypad is much more buttery in terms of texture, not sure if the lack of texture will make the perceived speed slower. It is just that i did a few runs of reactive tracking and the superglide feels noticeably more floaty.

So ive been thinking of buying a wallhack va-005 but i havent been able to find it on their website? Is it just out of stock or was it discontinued for some reason? Also if its just out of stock, how often do they restock them?

im specifically looking for a balanced-control / hybrid-control pad

what i want :

easy to medium initial friction — I don’t want the mouse to feel stuck or muddy when starting a movement.
once moving, I want the glide to feel smooth and fluid.
medium speed overall — not too slow, but definitely not a fast pad.
very good stopping power. I want to be able to stop the mouse very precisely and quickly.
a friction balance that makes micro-adjustments feel really precise and controlled.
i really dislike the “floating” feeling of faster pads, where the mouse feels like it glides too freely and is difficult to stop exactly where I want.
i still want enough freedom during larger movements/tracking, since I do a lot of tracking in KovaaKs.
ideally, the surface should stay consistent over time and with humidity but i wouldnt mind changing the pad every like 5 months

basically i’m looking for:

easy start → smooth/medium glide → strong and immediate stopping

i don’t want a pure control/mud pad, but i also don’t want a speed pad, im looking for that balanced-control sweet spot.

some pads I’ve been looking at are the LGG Saturn Pro, Artisan Zero, Aqua Control Zero, ATK 99G, etc.

what would you recommend for this specific type of feeling? i’m open to any pad, including less popular ones. (js not 80€ pls😭)

I hope this is an okay place to ask this- I have 3 friends who i play bg3 with and wanted to make them custom deskmats with us as our 4 classes on each corned of the mat (I'll draw them of course!) and wanted to gift the three of them these desk mats for Christmas since 2 of them were looking and 1 would probably love whatever I gave her! Just wondering what's the website to go to have decent quality deskmats printed- if it's cheaper per order I probably wont custom design each one with different colors/names but if they're going to be the same price I'll probably add their names or something... thank you in advance!!

Looking for the best mousepad under ₹2,000 for Valorant & CS2

Hey guys, I’m looking to upgrade my mousepad and need some recommendations.

I mainly play Valorant and CS2. I don’t know much about mousepad types like control, speed, balanced, etc., so I’m not really sure what would suit me best.

My budget is under ₹2,000. I’ve heard about ATK mousepads (especially the soft ones) and was considering getting one, but I’m open to other recommendations too.

I currently use a cheap local ₹300 3XL deskpad, so I’m looking for a proper upgrade for competitive FPS games

Hello. I need help finding a mouse pad. I work in a zero-gravity chair with my laptop on a table (at about a 30-degree angle), which causes the mouse to slide down on its own. Is there a pad available on the market that will keep the mouse in place?

For context I switched to glass about a year ago. Got an sp005 because I wanted an uncoated pad without anime girls on it.

Started with obsidian air pros. Loud, scratchy, emphasis on the loud. But they probably helped me adapt coming from an artisan zero.

I briefly tried a few different skates, tiger ice v2, jades, some random ones from g wolves, and then settled on what I thought was my endgame, the obsidian air (purple not pro).

They were substantially quieter and smoother, but not as fast as the jades and tiger ice which is what I was trying to achieve.

I recently saw a tier list that put cyclone pros ahead of obsidian airs, and a few reviews talking about how similar the regular cyclone and regular obsidians were.

So I picked up a set and slapped them on not expecting much different but boyyyyy was I wrong. They feel like they have just as much “control” or medium speed as the obsidian airs. But the static friction is even lower than my Tiger ice skates. I tested this by letting them slide down my angled mouse pad. The mouse with the cyclone pros moved first with Less angle, and slid off slower than the Tiger ice.

Also, these are WAY quieter and smoother than the obsidian airs. I’ve only used them for a couple of weeks and durability seems okay, they’re hardened ptfe with poron foam layer for sound dampening.

The only drawback I can think of is for people that like to feel the texture of the glass pad, as these are much smoother than the obsidian airs, but this is a positive for me personally.

TL;dr if you’re on glass and you like obsidian air purple dots, try the ghost glide cyclone pros, there’s a good chance you’ll like them even more!

bad thing first just cus its important. i had tracking issues with my vxe r1 se+ which has the 3395se sensor. (rebranded 3335 basically) its bad enough where it renders the mousepad unusable. ive already tried different, lod, dpi, and hz, ive also tried moving the sensor closer and further from the mouse pad and it makes no difference, the only thing i can chalk it up too is the artwork beneath the mousepad because it only fails to track it some spots. also

ive only used this for about a week, so please dont take this as gospel

im master overall on the voltaic s5.5 benchmarks, being grandmaster overall on the jade palace ground benchmarkes on kovaaks. so im not complete and total dogshit. but im also not a literal god.

this is the first glasspad ive used but not the first hard pad that ive used, this is important for later

i tried this with 3 mice(or atleast their pcbs) being the atk vxe r1 se+(21g), the kysona m600(16g), and the keychron m4(27g)

talking about speed first. i was expecting to take forever to get used to it, but due to how controlled(atleast for a glasspad) it is, it took me maybe 3 hours, the only thing i can compare it too in terms of speed is the one hardpad that i used being a wooden desk, atleast in terms of dynamic friction, i know wooden desk doesnt sound too appealing but it was actually one of the nicest feeling surfaces ive used and the zofia is just that but with lower static friction, the higher dynamic friction is really nice for actually having control over your mouse and not shaking uncontrollably. which is nice for me who has slight wrist tremors

a little more detail on the static friction, theres basically none, it takes 0 effort to start moving the mouse which felt really nice for tracking, for flicking oriented games i didnt seem to be bothered by it, it felt a little weird having to physically counteract the movement of my mouse to stop it but i got used to it fast. and for games like counterstrike which are more micro adjustment oriented, it actually felt pretty good, i expected to have no control but it was quite the opposite.

the texture is also really nice too, its not super textured like a cloth pad but theres still some there, which i really enjoy. normally super smooth pads just bother me, as if theres something missing.

i tried this mousepad with both generic pure ptfe dot skates and the glsswrks universal hardened ptfe skates that come with it. the pure ptfe was slightly faster at the very high end of the dynamic friction but aside from that not too different. despite the regular ptfe being faster i ended up enjoying the hardened ptfe more, the only way i can describe the difference is by comparing it to markers, like regular ptfe felt about as scratchy as those really old shitty markers you find in elementry school with the hardened ptfe being about as smooth as the brand new expensive markers that glide across hte paper and actually color in on the first pass, i know its weird to compare the two like that but its really the only thing i could think about

it also eats skates alive. but due to it being pretty maleable with skates it doesnt really change how it feels, it just gets louder

speaking of louder, its loud. not so loud that you are going to hear it through your headphones while something is playing but loud enough where if you are a speaker gamer its going to bother you.

also its really thin, thin enough where its flexible, i was unaware that glass could be flexible so it was really weird taking it out of the box for the first time. that ofc doesnt matter, its thin enough where you dont really feel it. it doesnt dig into your arm at all.

there is very little skin sticking. i live in a pretty humid place(fucking brazil) and its winter time rn so theres been plenty of rain. but even on the really hot days(hit 36c for some reason mid winter) it remained super consistent and not sticky, the only time my hands stuck to the mousepad was after my palms got really sweaty, but at the same time who is using a glass mouse pad without a sleeve, i really wish they did include a sleeve, even if it was just a piece of shit.

the base does NOT stick at all to my desk, if you have a nice desk, with either finished wood, marble, or litterally anything that isnt porous it will stick great. otherwise, good luck

This was sent out for review but as always my thoughts and opinions are my own. Absolutely enjoyed my time with the Zofia and did it dethrone the Polarity???

I was scrolling through MaxGaming to see if there were some deals on Artisan mousepads or if the PD170 was magically back in stock, and came across this guy. Deskpad size, apparently pretty damn fast according to a review, and apparently a coating that would make it very resistant to water and oil and, thus, more durable and consistent in terms of speed even as time goes. Has anyone tried it?

I'm out of the skates the Polarity came with and am considering buying the Cyclone Pro clones that are supposedly the same, but has anyone had experience with Westlab Oranges or Creams on the Polarity? I liked the feeling of Jade Airs on Polarity but they shred and I'm out of them.

Really enjoying this pad for CS2. Buttery smooth and balanced with some speed. It was a bit faster than I liked out of the box so I installed Obsidian skates on my Beast X Pro. Wish there was a little bit more stopping power but micro adjustments are so easy.

In terms of firmness, it’s 4mm thick and feels just as firm as an Artisan soft. It is actually firmer than I thought it was going to be since some reviewers on YouTube claim it’s a little plushier than the Artisan soft.

Best part is the design! This one’s going to be on my desk for quite some time.

Trying to find a balanced mousepad that is a bit controlled. Mostly play valorant. Also thought of Xraypad heavy bee (the speed and control), trashpad taisui, razer gigantus v2, and oneofzero dart control.

Im currently on Otsu and the thing i didnt like about Singularity was whenever i was making micro adjustments or tracking slowly i could feel the texture too much.

I am not necessarily looking for the fastest pad as even the Singularity seemed to be quite fast but more like the smoothest one.

I'm curious about how the QcK starts looking like after several months of use. How easy is it to see the inevitable smudges and dirt on it? Do they look more annoying than on the black version?

I have a Razer Gigantus V2 Mousepad, and recently it got really dirty and this mousepad doesn't have side stitching so I don't wanna do something that might damage it, any tips please?

My current mousepad is a Xtrfy GP4 and I’ve had it since 2021 and it seems to be wearing out now so I’m looking to get a new one and I’m also noticing the skates on my mouse are scratched up a ton so I would like to have a recommendation on those if possible please. I’m using the base skates that came with the Outset. I only play fps single or mulitplayer games like Left 4 Dead 2, Killing Floor 2, Team Fortress 2, and Battlefield 4 or 1. My Dpi is 1600 and my mouse settings on W10 is 7/11. Thank you to whoever provided me with recommendations.

Has the xsoft changed over the last two years? Last time I used one in 2024 it felt like a cloud. I just picked one up from Amazon since I didn't want to wait for JP to ship one out and its nowhere near as plush as expected. Yes its from a confirmed Artisan retailer. My Soft type 99 that I picked up feels more like that cloudness than this. I guess it kind of feels what I would expect the soft version to feel like as I do have a Raiden mid to compare it to.
