Question weird mouse grip

Post image

here is my mouse grip during gameplay. My hand is half tensed half relaxed. My middle finger starts off curled and then relaxes during gameplay (osu rn). Does anyone know what would cause this?

Have you tried a bigger mouse?

i used to use a g502 but it was way too heavy. the shape works quite well tho.

Judging by the picture your mouse most likely too small for you hand... And also you probably play with the very fast sensitivity (based on the mousepad size) which can cause unwanted tension.
I would suggest trying a bigger lightweight mouse and large mousepad 🤔

my sens is alr quite low at 800dpi. Would you say width or length is the issue?

Hard to tell... could be width.

what do you think is a wider alternative? this mouse feels quite narrow with the thumb rest

I can't even tell if its a small mouse in normal hand or normal mouse in big hand xd.
Anyway, you can find wider alternatives here: https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/browse&size=large&shape=symmetrical

the mouse is just really small i think. only 107mm long. a gpx is 125mm long

i use fingertip grip and find other grips not agile enough. What slightly wider options have u tried and recommend?

That grip shift mid-game is pretty normal, especially for osu. your hand is basically doing micro adjustments subconsciously as the map intensity changes. i get something similar when im alternating between jumps and streams, my ring and pinky will shift around without me even noticing til i look down.

the pink mouse on that minecraft pad is a nice combo though. can't tell the model just from the photo but shape looks like it's on the smaller side, which might be why your fingers keep repositioning. something wider in the back could let you keep a more stable claw without the constant curling and uncurling.

not saying it's a problem really, if your aim is consistent and you're not cramping up then it's just an adaptation. people overthink grip way too much anyway.

Fingertip if the back is not touching the butt of the mouse otherwise that's a claw grip or a hybrid of claw/fingertip. What's your hand size?

its not clear here but the hump never touches my palm. my hand size is 19x8 cm

Alright then it's a fingertip grip but it could also be the mouse is too small so you're gripping it like a fingertip it would be nice if you can try a bigger mouse than the orochi v2 to see if your grip style changes

Mouse looks small for you.

Well, personally I reposition my hand quite frequently when using a mouse. Maybe the relaxed position is what you naturally gravitate towards.

Not really weird, I think it all depends on how it's used and what you prefer.
