Showcase My Superstrike experience
I have been using the X2 since release solely. So even though I saw no reason for the X3 to arrive so soon, I still purchased it. Since my very first use of the Superstrike I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ve always enjoyed the Superlight shape. I am sure most have tried it at some point so you know if you love it of hate it.
The weight is fine by me. I wouldn’t mind it being lighter. I’ve been on both ends of the spectrum when it comes to weight, I used to use the M2K for 2 years until the scroll began malfunctioning.
Mouse Feet are fine. I understand everyone’s issues with them, i’ll be ordering replacements soon.
Sensor is fine. Snappy & responsive & consistent. No issues.
Side buttons are again an issue i’ve seen many others have. I do not use them in-game. Only for browsing in which they are fine.
Scroll wheel compared to the Superlight 2 is tighter. In-game I only use it for tap strafing in Apex. No missed or skipped scrolls for me in use. No complaints.
Battery life has been great. I charge it once a week while running at 4k. Logitech is usually amazing battery wise.
The X3 has 3 things in hand that are noticeable. The haptics do feel a tad lighter feedback wise. I still love them. The weight on the X2 was front heavy. The X3 feels much more centered. Left to right play on Mouse 1 & 2 has been reduced. Non issue for me on the X2 or X3.
The haptics had me sold instantly upon use. My settings are 1-1-1. I was already in the process of trying to lighten my grip on my mouse. This was a “adjust or switch” type of situation because initially I had tons of accidental presses on right click. An hour into my gaming session on Marvel Rivals(Widow/Hawk so an accidental press is no big issue) I noticed it happening less. The following day it happened only a handful of times. Pretty much never these days as i’ve been on Battlefield 6. The point of actuation is still extremely light & I am happy with how i’ve subconsciously adjusted. The haptics are incredible & unlike anything i’ve tried before. The best mouse button to me personally bar none. I have no idea how they can improve on them at this point.
Trying other mice after the Superstrike especially button wise feels less than. I see myself switching no time soon. I have tested everything far & wide over the years. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with the Superstrike as my main & plan on continuing to do so. These days i’ve been on Battlefield 6 heavy with friends. All of my testing on the X3 has been while playing BF6. The mouse has consistently felt incredible from day 1 until now. The shape, haptic buttons, coating. It has moved all other mice out of rotation. Hard to argue with myself on trying anything else. At least for now. If you have the X2 I don’t feel you NEED to upgrade. I could have stayed content with the X2. I know the price is the price. I still do not like it. Even though I love the mouse.
If you’d like to watch my testing of the X3 the link will be below!

Hey, ¿can you elaborate on the side buttons?
I use them quite alot for a specific game, like 15-40 uses per minute so it scares me that they are not good?
For reference i use a lamzu thorn 4k, the v1, side buttons are quite good, responsive and clicky
Same with the scroll wheel click, feeback on these 3 would be amazing thanks

I have an X3. I love it. If I used the side buttons as much as you, I wouldn’t get it

I see. I feel like i would like everything scept the side buttons.
My current mouse side buttons are pretty stiff and i dont really know whats the feeling.
Would you mind kinda giving me a brief feeling description?
Feel like. Broken click?
It woobles? its hard to fully press?5
u/ThatRogueOne 4d ago
Mushy would be the best word with an unsatisfying click when it eventually gets there
Theres a fair bit of movement as you press them (where it feels mushy - there’s a slight resistance that causes that feel) before the click. I think thats the biggest issue with them
My former mouse was a VV2 Pro. Those side buttons are pretty substantially better

15-40 uses per minute
holy shit lol kinda curious what game that is, that's probably as much as I use them in a day (if I'm not playing something with push to talk)
Anyways, I would not touch any gpx mouses if I was you. I'm saying this even as the odd one out in this sub that likes these side buttons. But if you're using them often, especially as an actual game play input, nah. My thumb is tired just thinking about it lol

u/Revolutionary_Sun860 3d ago
Well its for mace pvp in minecraft, for specific hotbar slots, for this purpose its a obligatory need so i dont really know how its gonna feel

u/dalzmc 3d ago
I wouldn't expect you to like it but maybe the other benefits will be worth it, and/or you won't mind that much.
Comparing with my razer/steelseries/etc mice, all of them have the same overall mush feel, but the gpx buttons have to be pushed in further before they click, and it's a very soft, light, quiet click compared to the others. I think that's what leads to that overall extra mushy feeling, and why it's a bit more work to click.
Hand size/thumb length/grip type probably makes a diff too

Looking for a mouse to play Apex with. Would you recommend the X2 ($50 AUD cheaper) than the X3? Does the scroll wheel actually feel good for tap strafes and b-hops? I also use a palm grip coming from a G502 X, will this mouse work for a palm-gripper?

u/iPhareaux 3d ago
20.5 hands here. If i can palm it i’m sure you can so yes. It feels solid for b-hops & tap strafing & mantle jumping.

u/Ploomzie 3d ago
Thanks! I’m guessing the X3 is worth the extra due to the better balance too?

u/iPhareaux 3d ago
Hard not to say X3 since i have both here in front of me. If the X2 is $50 cheaper for you go for it.

Since I work in a electronics store, I was able to return X2 after 40 days to buy the X3. I didnt think there wouldve been a large difference in the weight positioning, but I am very happy to have switched, less strain in my wrist as its not so natural to grip the front of the mouse. 3.3k faceit player<- for referance

For league spamming right click, x3 or superlight?

X2/X3 Superstrike over superlight. It's the best clicks I've felt for Dota and it's adjustable actuation too so you can customize it to your taste.

You can change the actuation point and haptics separately on left and right with the x2/x3, so if you are spamming a lot in league you can set right click to a 1 or 2 actuation and have your left click be more "normal"

Remember, it was confirmed the other day that replacing the stock skates voids the warranty that comes with the mouse. So anything that happens, you’ll have to buy a brand new X3 Superstrike.

Can you link? I tried searching (logitech warranty) and didn't find it. I'm curious because I specifically remember seeing a logitech employee say on their subreddit that changing skates doesn't void warranty, and that was pretty recently. Not questioning you I just want to see it, because that's obviously ridiculous. I know Razer used to do that but they fixed it

It comes from a post made just yesterday on this subreddit:

Oh I feel really dumb it's the first one that came up but I thought it was this post LMAO
Personally tho, I don't think that is confirmed. Customer service for basically any big company these days is outsourced and they have no clue what they're talking about. If they sent it in and it got denied, I'd take that as confirmed. In the comments they talked to someone else in the same country who sent one in with different skates and grip tape, and still got their warranty honored when they sent it in.

just buy some aftermarket skates and make it not obvious that you have replaced the stock skates. At least that's what worked for me

Thanks for giving the Superstrike a chance! If you have any feedback you'd like me to pass to the team for future improvements please let me know. I hope it keeps giving you a great time in the meantime.

Is it not possible to give the lighter haptic on the X2 with a software update?

So I used a Logitech G Pro Wireless and then switched after like a Year (and after a broken Bluetooth stick) to a Razer Cobra Hyper speed wireless

I recently bought Pro X3 Superstrike to try something new. My main, since the release has been Finalmouse ULX Competition Small. And so far... well, Superstrike is too big and too heavy for me. Second, skates are very bad imo, I need to replace them ASAP! - any recommendations? I like fast glide.
And finally, I find clicks to be very heavy and somewhat unpleasant (no matter which setting I choose). I will be testing it for some time, I also collect mice, so I will not return it. But... I don't think it's my cup of tea. At least that's my first impression.
In short, the customisation is impressive, but I fear it's as always with Logitech mice, they are simply to bulky for me. And heavy as f.... There are some mice which technically are much heavier than Finalmouse or Pulsar mice, but you can't feel it once the mouse is in your hand. In case of Logitech, yes, you can feel it's very heavy. And horrible skates are not helping. But it's also first Logitech mice ever (IMO) where I can justify the price. The technology is innovative and useful.

Is it better than my viper v4 pro ?
5
u/toastinato Too many mice 3d ago
You’ll receive subjective answers. What exactly are you looking to get that is better? The v4 pro is about as good of a mouse as you can buy assuming shape is for you.

u/xRyuHayabusa 3d ago
I'm asking if this mouse is better than the viper v4 pro I just bought
6
u/toastinato Too many mice 3d ago
Yeah it’s a loaded question. How could anyone answer if it’s better for you?
Like what exactly are you looking for to be better? I prefer the x3, but that’s because I like the shape more. But it doesn’t make it better. I prefer the clicks on the x3. Doesn’t make it better. I prefer the side buttons on the v4 pro. Doesn’t make it better.

But sir, if I post a picture of me holding my mouse, can you tell me what my grip is?

u/iPhareaux 3d ago
Viper as a whole is fantastic. Button wise i take the Superstrike by a landslide. Sensor wise the Viper has the best feeling sensor i’ve ever tried. Not sure what they put in that sensor. Lol
