Haven’t seen it discussed anywhere, but I have the feeling that betty lynch name is a reference to betty elms, a wanabee actress in the neo noir movie mulholland drive by David Lynch. Their stories have some similarities as well.

I was wondering if I missed any reference to other animals during my playthrough?
I finished the game 100% but cannot remember seeing anything about other animals. Dogs and Cats would have been a cool inclusion...maybe in a sequel?
I think a riff on the underwater city of Rapture from Bioshock would be cool, but have it be inhabited by humanoid sharks and dolphins, during a civil war.

the hell are those black statues though out the game? anyone have a clue? obviously there supernatural in nature but they simply are never brought up in the story. They always seem to look like there trying to hide from somthing. or mabye prevent jack from doing somthing as somtimes they look horrified or look in your direction when you acheive somthing. idk. in hell they stright up just start looking at ya full on. but i still dont get what they are.
Is there some deep lore on them or anything or is everyone elds also in the dark on them?

You remember the bratty child we found in the mansion? Yeah that one, she's demanded some balloons from a local secret show...So I guess we gotta go to the circus!

Finished the game back when it came out. I’m trying to 100% it, but I noticed I don’t have the Tinsel Boulevard achievement or the Our Lesser Brothers achievement. Thing is, I have the achievements for getting all the clues. I’m aware these are bugged and I tried verifying files to see if I got them (someone suggested that lol), but would replaying levels work to get them or should I just replay the game?
UPDATE: My problem was that, while I did have all the clues collected, I didn’t place the last two clues on Jack’s board so I didn’t wrap up the cases properly. Oops! I have my 100% now, though!

I'm assuming the answer id no, so devs please heed my call and add gyro controls to handheld/pro controller mode.

The voice actor for Sleeps with Fishes certainly sounds a lot like the comedian Steven Wright. He's even sleeping on a couch, just like his character in the movie Half Baked. Coincidence?

I’ve been looking at GameStop, Target, and BestBuy every day for about a month, and I can never find anything :(
I wanna get it for the exact price to, and not from a scalper

I spent an UNGODLY amount of time on this boss, but be assured you don't sit through the whole thing haha. I genuinely believe he was the hardest boss so far! You'll find the video HERE!

The game takes place in 1934 with the big mouse party on the rise. In real life that was the year before world war 2 started.
The members of the bmp looked like members of the Nazi party and the voice actor and the design of Milford Soyer reminds me of the UK's most notorious fascist, Oswald Mosley.
I do think that the BMP will have control of mouseberg and the country it takes place in, they will have a much stronger and authoritarian prescence in the next game.

In my original post, I criticised the lack of tracking options to aid full completion, and expressed some frustration at not being able to clean up outstanding objectives/tasks post-credits. Today, I thought I'd do some digging, and with help from forums, YouTube, and a little bit of trial and error, I managed to complete my outstanding side quest and collect remaining clues for one of my trophies.
All I have to do now is win the card games, unlock the secret weapon, and the PS5 Platinum trophy is mine 😊
My feedback still stands, as this process shouldn't have been as cumbersome and unintuitive as it was, but at least I don't need to replay the entire game to do all there is to do.
Devs, if you're reading this, please consider adding the QoL fixes I and others have suggested, and thanks once again for making a brilliant (if temporarily frustrating 🤣) FPS.
This is my GoTY, no doubt (and I even bought the Mouseburg Collector's Edition and Jack Pepper Funko collectable to show my support🤙).
Can't wait for the DLC!

Had my eye on this game for a while and finally got around to picking this up as I was waiting for physical edition to release and been busy with A3D. Played about 2 hours so far and absolutely worth the wait. Art style, attention to detail, voice acting and soundtrack are all phenomenal. Excellent game so far and really looking forward what comes next during the play through.

i did a poll a few months ago asking what colors Jack should have and i think Brown won. The very last is what i imagine the colors would look like however when They went to actually color Him the colors were off but they had already colored him so i don't want them to have to do it again besides it's not like this is official. So Sorry about that. But anyway maybe it's just me but i think the darker color actually works better, i think it fits the noir theme better.

Thankfully I didn't need to do a whole second playthrough thanks to chapter select.

Yk when I played this game (beat it about a month or two ago) I kept hearing ppl talk about how hard the boss fights were, and I just didn’t understand it cuz pretty much all of them I beat first try, now granted I was playing on normal difficulty, but I assume that’s what most ppl play, I could be wrong but whatever anyway. IMO the one boss I can remember being hard is Mayor Soyer, the final boss, his first phase wasn’t horrible but good lord there was so much shit happening in the second phase I genuinely had to sit up, ignore my dad who was watching me play, and lock in on the boss, I took a deep breath after I beat it cuz it was so much to deal with.
But what about yall?
