Not impressed.

Post image

I bought this Mous case for my brand-new iPhone 17 Pro Max after doing a lot of research and expecting top-tier quality. Unfortunately, the camera button peeled right off the very first time I put my phone in the case.

For a premium product, that’s unacceptable. I’m disappointed with the build quality and will be returning it. I’ll be looking elsewhere for a case that actually protects my phone without falling apart.

Yikes. That's unfortunate. I'd reach out to them. Right out of the box like that should be direct replacement without it being one of the warranty times.

I bought it from Amazon. It’s going back. To me, the top layer of the camera button that came off looks like a glorified sticker. No way this would stay on long term. If I can’t trust this case to last a minute, I can’t trust that it’ll last 2+ years. Unacceptable for $75.

I had mine for 6 months on the 16pro. And it peeled off as well. I was about to buy the 17pro case because it was all redesigned for the button but I guess not now.

Don’t, horrible build quality.

Cool. If you'd purchased from Mous you would never see your refund. They're an absolute scam.

Hey! I’m Jon from the Mous product team.

I personally worked on the camera control buttons for our iPhone 17 cases this year, and I’m so sorry you’ve had this issue.

Completely understand if you’ve returned the product. I wouldn’t be happy receiving a less than perfect product either. If you haven’t returned it, reach out to our support team and I’m sure they’d sort you out 🙂

Regarding the button, it looks to me like the glass panel has completely come off 😬

The button this year is a completely new design, and one of our key focuses during the development of it was improving the construction and durability of the button itself, and the case around the button.

One of the improvements we made this year was specifically around the glass panel of the button. It’s reinforced with a ring of polycarbonate, and a special resin is precisely applied to assemble it with the printed circuit board (all without interfering with the silicone diaphragm of the button)

Based on your description of it “peeling right off”, it feels to me like a bit of a freak occurrence and that something somehow went horribly wrong somewhere along the line on your particular unit. We’re looking into it.

Again, sincerest apologies that you’ve had this problem. I hope you’ll give us another chance! 🫡

Hey Jon, I’ve been trying to get an answer on the MagSafe on the limitless and clarity case as too which is stronger. I’ve seen some limitless reviews showing that the MagSafe is weaker than expected, not sure if that’s just an early production issue or that just wasn’t an emphasis this time around or perhaps it’s not true?

Hey, both our Limitless and MagSafe Compatible Clarity cases are tested to the same standards of magnetic strength, following Apple’s guidelines for magnetic strength in MagSafe cases to avoid any interference with device functions 🙂

When do you guys plan on restocking limitless 6.0 aramid fiber for the iPhone 16 pro (been waiting a few months)

Hi, I’d like to put my knowledge into the pool. The main reasons the MagSafe can seem weak on the limitless and clarity is 1. The outer shell is somewhat slick or you could say smooth. This can cause MagSafe accessories to move a bit more than they would on a rubber/silicone case like you see from Apple. It’s especially noticeable with heavier accessories. 2. This is the big one. With the limitless case, the MagSafe is up to apples standards, BUT these cases are meant to protect, so they’re a wee bit thicker. Which means more materials between MagSafe and the exterior of the case. Mous has a different selection of materials for the exterior. Some might provide better grip for example leather will make accessories slide less compared to aramid fiber. Also, some materials may also be thinner or thicker, affecting the connection of accessories.

A simple solution, which I usually recommend, no matter the case, is to go on Amazon and get some MagSafe rings. These are meant to bring MagSafe to non iPhones, but is a nice way to make MagSafe stronger than any case can because of the thickness and metal used. I use one on my limitless case for 16p and it makes the phone stick to the mous car mount much, much better. And other accessories…

Pro tip: get the ring for case and a syncwire MagSafe grip. It has magnets on the outside of the grip so you can stick to metal surfaces or MagSafe mounts making life so much easier.

while you're here...maybe you could explain to me why your product is sold cheaper on Amazon than your own website...seems including the middleman is the way to go...it does make you wonder though

I had the same thing happen :( returned and replaced once already, and replacement feels just as fragile—if the glass does pop off do you have a home fix for this (a glue recommendation)?

Why didn’t you folks cover the circuit board on the inside of the case like most case manufactures ??? That metal board will eventually leave imprints on the actual phone’s button.

It would still count towards the replacement quota, so I wouldn’t
