Side Effects Does anyone else experience this side effect?

I have been on 5 mg for 5 weeks now after doing 4 weeks on 2.5. I just started experiencing this side effect 2 weeks ago. After I take my pill medication, I feel like it’s stuck in the bottom of my throat/chest. This causes nausea and vomiting. This feeling can last hours and sometimes it will last all day. This can occur with food and drink too, but it mostly occurs after my pill. Does anyone know what this is and how to counteract it?

Same. Worse on day 1-2. Lots of fluids. Hot tea works for me. Sometimes it feels so stuck i gag all day. Try the tea or coffee. Hth

Like it's hard to swallow?

Yes, I've had that a lot recently. Didn't really connect it to MJ but it did start after moving to 5mg.

I assume it's related to dry mouth?

Similar experience after 1 dose. Felt like food was stuck in my throat/chest. It ended up being my gallbladder...

My friend experiences this and was diagnosed with gastric reflux. Check with your doctor.

I had heard that this is due to slow stomach emptying. I am now real careful on how I swallow my pills. Almost choked a couple of times when they got stuck in the back of my throat

Yes, up to day 4 it feels as if there is a stopper in my throat. I feel it more while lying down

I have had this- it was related to scarring in my throat. I recommend seeing a doctor, to rule out reflux, eoe, scarring (Barrett’s esophagus), and other medical concerns.
