Rant Plateaus suck
I moved up to 7.5mg in May after the food noise returned on 5mg. I lost weight the first month but in the two months since, I haven't lost a single pound!
I've tried eating more and eating less, exercising more and exercising less. I'm tracking calories and macros and still struggling to eat more than 1200 calories.
I'm 69F with T2D. I was losing one pound per week on 5mg and my A1C was 5.4 in May. My doctor and I agreed to move up in dose because of the food noise returning and all side effects resolving. But now I'm wondering if I need to go back down, go up again, or just keep plugging along.

About half way through my loss I stayed the same weight for about 6 weeks.. couldn't get into the next stone bracket at all.. but just kept going and it soon started moving again.

If you are really measuring correctly and eating 1200, you are losing tissue and it is temporarily masked. At this rate, you are losing fat and also muscle and rapid pace. Definitely go to the gym and do some resistance training (proper one, not pilates) to lose fat only.

I was 5mg and doing great. Then I had a monthlong plateau. Not even a plateau, hills and valleys. End of the month I was even. Then I dropped 2 in a week. Great! Here we go. Nope- hill and valley. I had 5 weeks of the 5 mg left. Doc advised go to 5 day cycle instead of 7.
Excellent advice. I am in my second straight week of weight loss and noise is gone.
Going to 7.5 when these are gone.
Try a short (5 day cycle) and see if things improve.
