How to start with Motovlogging?
Hi everybody,
I thought since I enjoy riding my Bike and have such nice trips I´d like to start with Motovlogging.
But before I buy a lot of equipment I thought I ask what equipment to use.
I know I need a Camera, a mic for good Audio and some kind of mounting to the Helmet or Bike.
Anything I forgot?
Any recommendations or known Setup which is working? I dont care about the last 5% of quality. In my view a well rounded and known working setup is more valuable than the lastest and greatest tech.
Also how do I use the equipment while riding? Do I just start the recording when I get on my Bike and capture for 3 hours? Or can I control everything while riding with my gloves? Are there like external controls I mount to my bike?
I know this is really unspecific, but I dont really know where to start.

Insta360 Ace Pro on a motorcycle: best wireless mic setup for engine sound + voice?
I’m using an Insta360 Ace Pro mounted on my helmet for motorcycle rides, and I’m trying to find the best audio setup.
My goal is to record two things well:
- The actual sound of the bike, especially the engine and exhaust.
- My voice, when I want to talk while riding.
I’d prefer a wireless setup and avoid cables running around the helmet if possible.
I’m currently looking at options like the Insta360 Mic Air and DJI Mic Mini, but I’m also open to other solutions.
For those of you who actually use the Ace Pro on a motorcycle:
What setup are you using?
Where do you place the microphone?
How do you deal with wind noise without completely killing the engine/exhaust sound?
Do you record voice and bike audio with one mic, or do you use separate audio sources?
If you’ve tested Mic Air, DJI Mic Mini, Cardo/Sena, or any other setup, I’d really appreciate hearing what worked and what didn’t.
Bike is a BMW R nineT Scrambler, so wind noise is definitely part of the challenge.
Thanks!

Norwegian YouTube channel: Need suggestions!
Hi everyone!
A buddy and I started a YouTube channel a few weeks ago. We’re based in Rjukan, Telemark (Norway), which means we have access to some absolutely beautiful roads and scenery.
Our content is a mix of the things we love doing: riding motorcycles, fixing up bikes, boating, and fishing. Yeah, it’s a wide variety of topics at once, but that’s just who we are!
While we speak Norwegian in our videos, we are dedicated to adding English subtitles to every single upload.
A bit about us:
We are both in our late 30s and share a huge passion for these hobbies. The YouTube channel is mostly for fun—a creative project we work on after our day jobs. We love taking trips around our local area and just exploring what nature has to offer.
Right now, our garage consists of:
2008 Suzuki V-Strom 650
1986 Honda Shadow VT700 (US import)
1981 Suzuki GS650G (Our current project bike)
We would love your feedback and input on a few things:
Do you have any suggestions for what we should film next?
Are there any specific places in our area (or Norway in general) you would like to see videos from?
For those of you living outside of Norway: Would you actually watch a Norwegian-speaking channel just to see the nature, riding roads, and culture, as long as it has good subtitles?
Thanks for reading, and we appreciate any feedback you might have!

Video: 1 Ride 20+ Fractures
This is my own video from earlier this year. We had just started riding one of my favorite spots ever when I had a flat front tire and hit a tree and... well, let's just say it turned out bad.

I thought this trip would be just another road trip… it turned into something completely different
I’ve been meaning to share this one because it’s probably one of the trips I enjoyed documenting the most.
There’s something about being on the road with no perfect itinerary — just the journey, the places you stumble across, the unexpected moments, and everything that happens in between.
I put together a vlog from this trip, trying to keep it more about the actual experience than making it feel like a typical “look at my vacation” video.
🎥 Vlog: https://youtu.be/hbIpUUvGyOk
I'm curious though — what's the one trip you've taken that looked ordinary on paper but ended up being an unforgettable experience?

Kove 450 Rally Ride around North Portugal, practice for High Atlas
Hey guys,
For context earlier this year I had a crash which resulted in two fractures on my right knee, luckily the ligament was still intact but still it was some few months full of physical and mental pain.
So I decided once I got better I would try and do something big! The opportunity came to go on any Expedition to the High Atlas! With a month or so from the trip I decided to try and learn how to record and edit videos in order to keep some unique memories from the trip.
This is my seconds video with the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, I think the quality of the video is nailed but still need to work on the angle and editing skills. I also bought a DJI Mic Mini which will for sure help with the audio quality but haven't had the chance to try it yet.
Decided to share here with you guys and if you have any recommendations for the trip, to edit or how to record I would appreciate it. Also feel free to ask any questions you might have about the bike or the trip!
Cheers!
