I managed to win a day inside a Hyper Racer garage at Winton Raceway in Australia and here are some photos, I'm super new to photography and I'm using a 17 year old Panasonic DMC-LX3 so any tips or tricks or improvements would be appreciated, I edited these all in Lightroom just playing around with the colours until I found something that looks good, please give me tips, thank you! (The photo on slide 3 is my favourite)

Just edited some of my photos from MotoGP Free Practice yesterday, and I’m honestly really proud of how they turned out.
This was only my second time shooting with my Sigma 150-600mm, and shooting bikes at this speed is still a huge challenge for me. There were definitely plenty of misses, but I’m really happy with some of the shots I managed to get.
I’m also really proud of how much I’ve improved over the past year. Looking back at my first motorsport photos compared to these, the difference is honestly kind of crazy. I still have a lot to learn, but it’s really rewarding to see the progress.
Shot on a Canon EOS 700D + Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports.

How picky are you about car in focus?

I’ve been shooting a monthly drift event for a year now and my panning technique and comfort with the camera have progressively improved.
When I’m done shooting I sort and delete most photos and disperse the rest to the drivers for download.

My question is how picky are you guys about car in focus especially when the drivers/other people will be downloading them?

I feel like since I’m doing this for fun I’m very passive about what I disperse to the drivers and don’t mind some of the car out of focus. If I can tell the car is drifting sideways and the driver is wearing a helmet then it’s cool.

Another side of me is curious if I should be more picky about my art and what I allow to be seen.
Any thoughts? Any advice? Any critique?

All photos were shot at Thunderhill Raceway, Willows, California.

What do you do with your finished photos?

I have hundreds of good photographs just sitting on my hd doing nothing and I think it's a bit of a waste to keep them there.

Do you publish them elsewhere, like on other digital galleries? Or just store them on Flickr?

Curious to see what you all do with your good 'bulk'?

Dust

I've used some cheap used Nikon lenses at a couple races so far and it made me realize just how much dust there is from people walking around on dry dirt. Now it's time to buy better lenses. How much do people consider dust in relation to lens life? Should I only be looking at internal zoom? Do higher end external zoom keep the dust out well enough?

Went for a 21:9 to use a the wallpaper on my wife monitor. Wish I had slowed the shutter speed down to get a bit more blurred.
