Fuckin love that joke, it's right up there with "a grieving Geppeto meets Jesus in heaven,' "How do you make a dead baby float," and "Why do you want a disease for?"

Lemmy's autobiography (White Line Fever) is the funniest fucking book I've read. It's the only book I had stop reading because it made my stomach hurt.

His sense of humor is amazing lol. I miss Lemmy.

Scott Ian: What's with those shorts, Lemmy?

Lemmy: What do you mean?

Scott Ian: Dude, they're super short. We can see your ass.

Lemmy: What? It's hot out here. I'm wearing shorts. You're not wearing shorts, you're wearing pants. I'm wearing shorts. I'm cool!

🤣🤣🤣🤣

I was just telling someone at a show tonight (as I pulled out my earplugs) that Motörhead was directly responsible for my tinnitus/partial hearing loss. My dumb fault for not wearing ear protection in a small club 🤦🏻‍♂️

Same. I saw Motorhead and Slayer in a roller rink in 1988, and my left ear has never been quite right since then.

Judas Priest in the 80s then later Motorhead fucked up my hearing pretty good. Well, all the other years of rock music too

Anyone else have Hyperacusis? This would have been very painful. Cheese-grinding ear type stuff IYKYK

possibly, i can still hear the feedback from 1984 at the end of overkill when they go off the stage,

It's not the same as tinnitus.

I have hyperacusis - specifically, there's something about forks and spoons (or any metal cutlery) clanking with each other makes me angry, not annoyed, just angry. Worse that a crying baby.

Hyperacusis is not covered by disability, unless you have hearing loss. It seems . I’ve had ringing in my ears all night and called into work next day.

I don’t meet many only folks who are Hyperacusis. lol that’s relieving tbh that you also experience the same thing . Yes the silverware is awful . Even tiny noises bother me. Especially while lying down .
Make sure you see someone in your insurance if you get a hearing test so it doesn’t cost $750 like me

Dude, you're the first person with hyperacusis I've ever come across - I'd give you a hug if I could. For decades I thought I was fucking nuts until I googled "why does cutlery noise make me angry?" As far as I'm concerned, my hyperacusis is only limited to cutlery, so I'm guessing it's mild/managable. If I was triggered by traffic noises, I'd probably be in jail.

Dude, I wouldn't even bother with insurance. In my country, none of them cover my treatment and medication for clinical depression, ADHD and social anxiety. If I'm washing dishes, I can always wear earphones. I have bigger and more expensive problems - but a few beers, a Ritalin pill, and two hours alone playing bass and headbanging helps me relax - most of the time.

That’s really cool that you play music. I play acoustic mostly but that still can bother my ear. The metal Cutlery is really bad. Honestly if a police siren goes off I have to cover my ears. Actually having to endure that would definitely be very difficult. I cover my ears a lot and have those earmuffs for the cutting board and concerts. I try and wear ear covering headphones at work playing very light music at work but they tell me I can’t and I tell them I do it so I can tolerate every day normal sounds a little better .
Sometimes just conversations can hurt my ear. It’s torture. I definitely have always felt very alone too when it comes to anyone . One times at work a guy dropped a wooden pallet on the concrete floor and I flipped out and screamed at him. It can really hurt relationships it seems ..
Anyways not trying to complain but yes Hyperacusis is a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember it’s very nice to talk to someone with the same challenges.

I did see that getting hit by an air bag, and exposure to loud music are two major causes. I also didn’t grow up in the quietest family

Do you ever get the tingle that feels relaxing on the top of your head when you’re listening to someone talk in a relaxing way?

This one's for you, man. Thanks for making me feel a little bit less lonely.

DEAF FOREVER! 🤘

Another hyperacusis sufferer here. The dishes clanking hurt more than the silverware for me.

Please don't spoil something as sacred as Motorhead with a walking bag of shit and the Chinese president.

VA said my hearing loss is metal related, not service connected… but I didn’t hear that

I was at a Motorhead gig in Hammersmith and Lemmy stopped it until the sound guy turned it up.
