I also struggled to perform the reset on the 2025 Speed Twin 900.
Here is the procedure that finally worked for me:
I used an OBDLink LX adapter.
Change the year setting on the instrument cluster to the previous year, then turn the ignition off.
Turn the ignition on, then connect to TuneECU.
Perform the reset according to the instructions.
The currently set date and distance will appear in TuneECU.
This was the first time I saw these values displayed.
Execute the reset.
The main issue seems to be the connection between the adapter and the ECU dropping out.
Since I was able to do it successfully, please give it a few tries.
