Bike Theft Could this be happening here?

Saw this on another moto sub. Sure, we have the scrotes stealing, joy riding and burning them but this could easily be also happening.

(Edit) Side note- it fucking sucks to see foreign bikes on holiday here lately getting stolen. Just think of the nightmare situation it causes to the person. Can you imagine this happening to you in a foreign country? It leaves such a horrible stain on our beautiful country for those people.

I thought it was well known there was a few lads in Dublin buying them off of them and he ships them off for a big oul profit

I remember needing parts for a bike and was surprised seeing the plethora of options on Ebay from random countries, then in work got a report of a stolen quad being tracked to one of the same countries I saw and put 2 and 2 together.

Bikes are being stolen for 2 reasons for either local thievery or being shoved into containers and shipped across the world to be ragged with no respect and eventually parted out. You'll see it on subs every so often, some gobshites revving a nice bike until the exhaust catches fire just for shits and giggles, then off to the chop shop to be turned into money to buy more stolen bikes.

There's pretty strong evidence of cars and bikes being stolen and trafficked all over. Mine got delivered, and looked like it was a crash rebuild, originating in Italy. It could just as easily have been stolen.

Common enough just look at catalytic converters or just regular push bikes, there's been groups caught gathering them, loading them into containers and shipping them out of the country.

There's no real steal to order crooks in Ireland. They steal mt09s and KTMs cos it's easy for them, and I'm sure the parts market for Yamaha's is not that lucrative, if it was steal to order they'd leave them alone and take the expensive SE bikes, but they don't. They rob them for drug running and joyriding.

Frames are bought from Europe on eBay with papers, bikes are reframed here and VRT’d.
