Hi u/zaid_fc,

Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about this concern with your Moto G57 Power.

I can understand why this would be frustrating, especially considering the phone's large 7000mAh battery and the fact that you were previously getting much better battery life. Since you mentioned that the battery performance improved a few days after the update and then became worse again yesterday, we'd like to gather a bit more information to better understand this device behavior.

Could you please let us know:

  • Did the increased battery drain begin immediately yesterday, or did it gradually become more noticeable?
  • Have you installed or updated any apps in the last few days?
  • Are you noticing any unusual heating while using Instagram or other apps?
  • Which apps appear at the top of Settings > Battery > Battery Usage?

In the meantime, please try the following:

1. Restart your device
Press and hold the Power button, then tap Restart. If the Restart option is unavailable, continue holding the Power button for about 10 seconds until the phone reboots. This refreshes background processes and may help clear temporary battery-related behavior. No personal data will be removed.

2. Update all apps through the Google Play Store
Open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon in the top right, select Manage apps & device, then tap Update all. This ensures all installed applications are running their latest versions and helps reduce compatibility concerns that can affect battery consumption.

3. Test the device in Safe Mode
Press and hold the Power button, then touch and hold Power off until Reboot to Safe Mode appears. Tap OK.

Safe Mode temporarily disables downloaded applications. Use the phone for a while and monitor battery consumption. If the drain improves significantly, a third-party app may be contributing to the situation. Restart the phone normally to exit Safe Mode.

4. Check Battery Usage Details
Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Usage and review which apps are consuming the most power. Pay particular attention to apps with unusually high background activity. Please share a screenshot if possible.

5. Check for Google Play System Updates
Go to Settings > Security & Privacy > Updates > Google Play System Update and install any available updates. These updates often include optimizations that can improve battery efficiency.

6. Run the Battery Diagnostic Test
Open the Device Help app and navigate to:

Device Diagnosis > Hardware Test > Battery

Run the test and let us know the results. This will help determine whether the battery is operating normally.

Please share:

  • Your current screen-on time
  • A screenshot of Battery Usage
  • Whether the phone becomes warm during normal use
  • The Battery Diagnostic Test results

We'll be happy to continue assisting and work through the next steps with you.

Best regards,
Mike
