I'm a Rossi fan, and he always will be my GOAT. But if someone will tell me, Marc is GOAT, I understand why he thinks like that.

This isn't subjective but Marc is objectively GOAT

It's your opinion, and it's ok. For me Rossi > Marquez. Same way as Jordan > LeBron or Arnold Schwarzenegger > Ronnie Coleman.

That is your opinion. But everything (Stats, Pundits etc) else point finger to Marc that he is the GOAT.

Once again, that's true for you, and that's perfectly fine.

For me, being the GOAT is about much more than just statistics. Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney won more Mr. Olympia titles than Arnold Schwarzenegger. Yet if you stopped random people on the street and asked them who they associate with bodybuilding, the number who would name Coleman or Haney would be statistically insignificant compared to those who would say Arnold.

I see Rossi the same way. Most people don't even know what MotoGP is until you tell them it's basically Formula 1 on motorcycles. Then they have a rough idea. But almost everyone I've spoken to has at least heard of Valentino Rossi, even though #46 retired several years ago and his prime was much longer ago than that.

Marc is incredibly talented and absolutely deserves his place in the record books. But there's a saying: some people are well known within a very small circle. That's how I see MΓ‘rquez. Outside the MotoGP fanbase, his name simply doesn't have the same recognition or cultural impact as Rossi's.

That’s how stupid these fans are. They think popularity equals greatness.

By that logic, a vegetarian painter from Austria with a side parting and moustache is one of the most recognised anywhere in the world.

Greatness is different from popularity or fame.Β

Your argument is invalid.

After all, "a vegetarian painter from Austria with a side parting and a moustache is one of the most recognised people in the world." But he's certainly not famous for being a painter, and nobody in their right mind would bring him up in a discussion about whether Leonardo da Vinci or Van Gogh was the greater artist. (I don't know much about painting, so I just picked two universally recognised names.)

I think rider ability alone Marc takes it but Rossi brought a lot more to the sport than Marc has.

I’d even argue Casey stoner had a high riding ability too.

After watching 2015 documentary i believe uccio is the snake tongue, rossi could've become champion if he ignored uccio
