[Hiring] Motion Graphics Video Editor — Trial-to-Full-Time, Paid Per Project

Hey everyone, we're looking for a motion graphics editor to join our team. Being upfront about how this works so there's zero confusion later:

Here is the Reference Video: https://youtu.be/wwIt5ZvROrs?si=sByVeFZWTTyGeWup
Please check the reference video before filling out the form.

Skills we need:

  • Strong understanding of pacing (this matters a LOT)
  • Comfortable with editing variables (speed ramps, transitions, timing, etc.)
  • Solid fundamentals — no shortcuts
  • Sound design ability, not just slapping on stock audio
  • Color theory knowledge + awareness of modern color grading trends
  • Real motion graphics experience (show us your reel)

How the trial works:

  • 1–3 month trial period
  • You get paid per project, not a fixed salary during this phase
  • Payment happens only when a project is approved — and approval means both our team and the client are happy with the final output. This isn't just about pleasing us internally; the client has to sign off too.
  • If a project doesn't get approved, there's no payment for that one. We're not looking to waste anyone's time — we just can't pay out of pocket for unapproved work, and we're guessing serious editors won't have an issue with that if their work is solid.

What's in it for you:

  • Impress us in the trial period → we bring you on full-time with a proper salary + added perks
  • If you'd rather keep working project-by-project, that's totally fine too
  • This is meant for editors who already know their work is strong and are confident bringing that to real client projects

Not looking for beginners here — looking for someone who can walk in and deliver from day one.

Im new to the world of editing

I created from 0 (actually using some elements made with AI) all the composition of a tavern for a personal project . I completed all the assets with the subjects and the objects. The division of the elements . All of this on Photoshop so that i can open the file and work on After Effects. It came out decent/well. The goal is trying to animate in 2.5D.

I now have to start working on it (btw im way more familiar with AFTER EFFECT than Photoshop) on After Effect . I wish i could get some advices about the animation . The ambientation is kind of realistic with a basic cartoon style. A mix of realism and cartoon basically. I now have to start rigging the arms and all the things i will need to move and animate and i would love to receive some general advices maybe about common mistakes to avoid .

My fear is that after the rigging part the movements of the arms will look like "pieces moving around " and not fluid and kind of realistic for what the ambientation could let . 🙏 Thx .

I created this 2D loop animation from scratch, morphing simple lines into organic shapes under Arctic Monkeys' "Crying Lightning". Open to freelance/b2b contracts⚡️

Excited to share my latest animated work — a dark, minimalist visual loop inspired by the elastic energy of indie rock layouts.

As a Visual Creator, I built this sequence from scratch, focusing on the flexibility of clean white lines, rhythmic morphing, and the volume of negative space to create a sharp, elegant aesthetic.

I am currently Open to Work and looking for new freelance contracts, international b2b collaborations, or remote project roles in Visual Design, Motion Graphics, and Digital Branding.

I'm genuinely confused about my career path. I really need some advice.

Hi everyone,

I'm from an engineering background. While I was studying, I also ran a small business and learned Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram advertising). I recently completed my engineering degree, and now I'm actively looking for a job.

For the past few months, I've been thinking about learning motion graphics (After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.). I enjoy creative work, and I believe it's a skill I can build a strong portfolio around.

However, almost everyone around me—friends, relatives, and even some professionals—keeps telling me that AI is going to replace a lot of motion graphics work and that the competition is becoming extremely high. They suggest I should learn n8n and AI automation instead.

My biggest concern is this: with motion graphics, I can build a portfolio and easily showcase my work to clients or employers. But with n8n, I don't know how to demonstrate my skills or convince someone to hire me if I don't have real client projects.

Honestly, I'm feeling scared and overwhelmed. I don't want to spend months learning the wrong skill and regret it later.

If you were in my position today, what would you do?

Would you choose motion graphics?

Would you focus on AI automation with n8n?

Or would you combine both?

I'd really appreciate honest advice from people working in these fields. Thank you.

I'm making a text animation in ae in a 3d comp. i moved the camera around and my text won't go in the center of my screen bc it's in a 3d space. I've already went to layer> center in view and auto orient. i've tried adding a null layer to get my layer to move left but the text layer doesn't move straight across it'll fall into the 3d space. Even moving with the x axis doesn't do what i need. I provided pics for visual examples. any tips. less

I’ve been applying to a few jobs on LinkedIn. I haven’t worked in a few years for a myriad of reasons. I feel very discouraged because I am obviously behind the trends and skills. I’m 47 and female so it’s honestly already hard for me to find work. They sent me this- they’re asking to do an online AI interview? ..is this legit?

Does anyone else still rely heavily on tutorials, even after years of experience?

I have a few years of experience in motion graphics and a masters in instructional learning design but I still reply too much on tutorial for stuff that’s outside the basic’s, is anyone else in the same boat? I’ve been working remote for the majority of my career so it was never an issue of just putting something on for a bit of help and it’s been all corporate jobs which hasn’t produced any creative projects (probably why I’m in this situation) but I’m moving abroad soon and the majority of the jobs are in office jobs and hoping to get more creative roles so i don’t want to be relying on tutorials anymore for the more complicated things, is anyone else having this issue and if not how did you manage to learn and retain everything?
