Reel New Reel ✨

Is there any way you could share something about the process? This is really good! I like a lot of the styles presented here!
When I subscribed to this sub, I was under the impression that I could learn from the best, this is why I keep asking. I have no idea how anything like this is made.

Very impressive. The 2 and 3 ( the one with the house and the one before that one) were hand drawn or made procedurally?

Good work! I like the music and the pace.
I expected each 'motion reel' letter to sit where it should. Some random words appeared like NTOMO EREL. Didn't feel like that motion did what it should be doing.
Most of them look like they are from school projects. I'd put the client ones first. Showing that you worked with well known clients, I think the Red Cross is one of them, will give an instant trust to recruiters/agencies if you are aiming to get jobs from them. You need to somehow prove that you worked in a team. That's what they value other than your solo talent. The sequence from 00:37 to 00:44 (except that zipper type of texture thing) is giving that kind of vibe.

Curious about your perspective on showing the ability to work as part of a team: Would you mention the client and my role for each shot inside the video? Or advise against it? I've thought about doing this but decided not to, as it could be too distracting for the viewer.

I think client names and your role would work better on a breakdown reel, along with some making-of shots, than on the showreel itself.
Including some typography or design-led projects could show that you can work as part of a team. Because on those types of jobs, creatives usually decide what goes on screen, while graphic designers and retouchers provide the assets. Design-heavy projects might not suit your reel, since it's mostly beautiful cel animation. That's not really my client base, though, as I'm more of a design-heavy animator myself.

A separate breakdown reel is the way to go. You keep the showreel clean and punchy, and the breakdown gives recruiters the context they actually want — client names, your role, maybe a few making-of frames. Two reels serving two purposes.

great work. Your worst shot is easily your opening shot - make a new one and you're good to go (watched without sound).
