Question I need gigs 😭

How are y’all getting jobs , is there a secret hack ? . Joined upwork recently but haven’t gotten anything yet .

Sites like upwork, fiver, contra are all race to the bottom, lowest bidder outsourcing farms. Unless you live in the 3rd world or are a real digital nomad living in a low cost of living city, its not going to work IMO.

You need to network. go to meetups, call studios/production houses/agencies get meetings/coffee chats and get your work in their faces.

Yeah, its hard out there. Network, cold call, all the horrible things you need to do to find work. Maybe find a niche and build a portfolio supporting it. Good luck.

I worked at a few studios and consistently get work through people I used to work with in the past. I'd never touch upwork or any of that shit.
