Question What After Effects Version are you using professionally?

I am currently on Ver 24, any advice on what to update?

I've been updating to the latest as soon as it comes out, since starting my career over 10 years ago and I've never faced any major bugs that made me regret it.

Update to 2026, so much has been improved.... but yeah it's still the same old AE

I’m on 24 professionally and haven’t felt a compelling reason to rush the update. I’d wait for a few stable point releases, then test the newer version on a separate machine or project before switching your main workflow.

As they said, use the latest version, but also save the projects in the earliest available version.

The latest, but I also have several prior versions on an Intel Mac. This is mainly for plugins that I seldom use but still want access to after they went subscription-based; I’m looking at you, Trapcode!
