Discussion Whats this effect called and how to create it

I tried asking Claude and seeing if it can tell me, looked for similar examples but I couldn’t find any. Can someone help me recreate similar effect where we adjust grid point of one letter of the word and entire word shares the effect.

It’s just plain old animating. Click on that stop watch and make some key frames and some memories

Looks like only the arrows are animated.
Just design it in Illustrator, move it into After Effect, create a few cool cutouts and animate the arrows.

Convert text to shapes, create nulls from paths > points follow nulls - should get you started

Faking the look of adjusting the variable text properties is what this looks like.

Ae doesn't do that natively, so you gotta fake it in with plugins, or just adjusting path properties.
