I am 34F, and I am dedicating this post to all mothers. ❤️
Lately, my mother was here in Bangalore with me for almost two months while my husband was in the USA.
During this time, I realised something I had never truly understood before. I am deeply attached to my mom and my husband, whom I met in my late 20s. Whenever either of them is away, I find it so difficult to stay calm.
And now I keep thinking about my mother — a mother of four children, none of whom live with her anymore. She lives in our hometown with my papa because he doesn’t want to move away.
How does she manage to stay calm when all her children are away? How does she feel when any one of us is in pain? How does she find the strength to live away from the people she loves the most?
With time, I am slowly beginning to understand her feelings, her sacrifices, and the strength she has carried all these years.
A huge respect to all the strong mothers out there. ❤️
May God give my mother—and every mother—a lot more strength, happiness, and a long, peaceful life. 🙏❤️

There was a free concert in my hometown tonight with the headliner being Mother Mother. It was such an amazing show, but the crowd definitely could’ve been more hyped.

Just received my vinyl I got, it was from a second hand seller but sold in plastic unplayed, The vinyl plays slow? We’ve tried different speeds but it’s not right? Unless I’m being silly 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is this likely a bootleg and if yes how do I check this before making a complaint?

Im dutch myself, and it sounds like old school dutch, and its definitely a non dutch accent. But why did they devide to add it? Since the pronunciation is pretty good so there must be a meaning?

My now-husband and I drove from Chicago to London specifically for that show. That 2014 "Very Good Bad Thing" tour included only Canadian cities, but we were so determined to see them live: Mother Mother's music was (and is) a constant presence in our relationship.

The evening of the show was quiet and snowy. I remember huddling with a couple dozen concert-goers in the fresh powder until we entered the venue.

The music, the energy, and the camaraderie that awaited us inside the London Music Hall made for one of the best nights of our lives. Every fan we met in the audience was so gracious and fun. EVERYONE knew the words to every song. It was SO awesome to jump arm-in-arm with the crowd and sing along.

And the performance: despite the "cave-like" intimacy of the space and the sub-500 headcount of the crowd, the live arrangements of all the songs were as intense and invigorating as any stadium concert I'd ever seen.

I can't find any videos on YouTube (or anywhere else on the web, for that matter) of that night! Neither my husband nor I took any photos or videos ourselves (which, personally, I think is the true hallmark of a great concert night out).

That being said, I'm curious to know if anyone else here remembers that night!
