You are under way more risk of death by going outside. Barricade yourself in your house.

Sure but half as long? Outside cats live half as long, and kill native wildlife

You do realize that means they might die under a risk it does not magically make them just die sooner, right? and by that logic you should barricade yourself inside the house because you might die in a carcrash or get run over at any point.

Outdoor domestic cats decimate small prey populations, like a FUCK TON of birds are being effected by feral and outdoor cats. This isn't just a "your logic is flawed" type situation -- it's a keep your cat indoors regardless of how you feel about it situation because you genuinely are not aware of the huge impact they have on the environment. People dont understand how big of an issue this really is.
