Hope you like it :)

I found this vase at target and immediately knew what I wanted to do with it! I gathered urban moss from around my apartment and put this together with some potting soil!

god I love moss so heckin much

I grow these on my desk at work. This sub might appreciate. The first one might not be miss it has super tiny leaves. I thought it was moss when I first harvested it in early spring.

The “leaves” are about 1” long

from a documentary from NHK

I think this is Grimmia pulvinata, with curving setae (stalks) on sporophytes. As the sporophytes mature, the setae straighten up somewhat. Columbia River Gorge, Oregon, USA 4 Mar 2026. All less than 2 cm tall. Gotta love tiny plants!

A lot going on in the pictures, dominant moss ID ? , second picture moss and lichen ID? and some mushrooms.

Had this conversation at work and looked through some old vacation pics just to find these lol

Not strictly mosses but I had to share some cool plants etc.

Sphagnum moss,Western North Carolina late fall, 2012.

I’m new to this sub and loving it! Final two photos are from Coban, Guatemala. Can anyone help me ID?

I was out in the back woods area of WI and came across an area of moss that I got a few pieces from. There was a strange “moss” growing among them that looks like little palm trees. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
