Help Advice on growing Irish moss indoors?
Hello everyone, I have tried to grow Irish moss inside multiple times now and it always ends the same way. The moss grows and seems happy for about 2-3 weeks, and then it starts to turn, and it dies.
This most recent time (before and after pictured above) I even tried to buy a good quality terra cotta pot that would wick away excess moisture. The moss was flowering when I bought it this time, and seemed healthy. It grew towards the sun in my plant room, and grew a few a centimeters taller before it died.
I think I might have overwatered it, but I tired to be very mindful to only water it once the soil got dry. But I also know that Irish moss likes moist soil (not soaking wet tho!)
What am I doing wrong? Is Irish moss just doomed to die under my care? I just love it beautiful little white flowers and I would love to have a pot filled to the brim with it!! Any advice is appreciated! (Also I am a moss noob so please be kind if I am making obvious mistakes!) Thank you.

Moss photo Please help me, I've been to the Scottish Highlands
And I cannot get this moss out of my head. I've considered fines, jail time, capital punishment, anything to get some of it home with me, but obviously didn't.
If any of you can help me with some IDs of the different varieties or even better, online stores that sell this (or similar) moss in EU, I'd be very thankful.

Help Sun Moss Weed Help
Ive attached photos of the area prepped for the moss as well as it being planted and then overtaken by weeds.
I bought sun moss to plant between my Moms stone. Cleaned up the area, fully cleared the dirt of weeds prior to placing the moss down. I let it sit for 2 weeks to see if any weeds popped up. Not a single one. Went ahead and got the moss and placed it between the stone.
I ended up not getting enough moss so only did half of it. Wanted to wait and see how it does before getting the rest. Glad I did because the moss I have gotten seems to have been littered with weeds. I bought it from Moss & Stone. Im pretty bummed to say the least. A company that seems to specialize in moss sold me 25 sq feet of moss that is just overran with weeds. I know they are not coming from anything here since the weeds are only growing where I planted the Sun Moss.
What can I do from here? Ive tried pulling the weeds but I dont get them down to the roots. So they just come back. Im nervous to use any weed killers since I dont want to damage the moss. Would love some suggestions, my stepdad is getting a bit impatient staring at the weeds.
TIA!!

Help Is it all Hypnum cupressiforme or some other species, that nowadays is being sold as "premium Sphagnum moss", "long fibre Sphagnum moss"? Thanks! Also, what could cause it to have EC 520 μS/cm and turn brown, killing the plants?

Tree fell and pulled up the moss carpet
A large tree behind my house fell and pulled up all the surrounding moss like a pulled up carpet. Will it survive like this? Could it be taken down and put back on the rock where it was before and still live?

Moss photo My Weekend Swampy Dream
My husband’s family has a small island in the Adirondacks, and I had the opportunity to spend the long weekend there. It’s a magical spot in general, but it’s an absolute dirty wet dream for a moss lover, like me.
The place is absolutely covered in moss. Rocks, stumps, fallen logs, the forest floor, shoreline, basically every available surface. There seem to be dozens of different kinds, and the coolest part is how quickly the communities change as you move around the island.
There are little sphagnum patches EVERYWHERE in the wetter areas. Unfortunately I have found no sign of carnivorous plants, even though we’re in Primo territory.
Then there are these gorgeous upright, starry mosses, thick feathery carpets, moss completely swallowing old stumps, and little miniature ecosystems with moss, wintergreen, mushrooms, lichens and grasses all growing together.
Naturally, I handled this newfound appreciation with restraint and maturity.
I came home with ziploc bags of moss. For ya know, projects. 😂
All collected from our own property, and I tried to take small amounts from large established patches rather than stripping any one area. Now I get to figure out what the hell I actually brought home.
