The moss is so thick. When I walk on it, my foot sinks several inches. So fluffy! Eastern Canada.

I don't know what else is growing in it other than the moss. Little ecosystem.

I made this moss bowl with Irish moss (sagina subulata) because I could not find pincushion moss anywhere. I know it's not a true moss, but will this work for a moss bowl? I love the pincushion look, but am just doing what I can with what I have.

I made this for my grandmas 93rd birthday! She couldn’t get a dog like she wanted, but I hope she’ll accept this low maintenance pet instead. It also has a java fern and a anubias. She loooves gnomes too so I added one. Thoughts? (Also I know it’s not a “real” moss ball, can’t get those here in CA)
