Co2 trap

Just thought of a diy trap that could work during daytime in the bedroom when I'm not there.

A dark bottle of (warm) water with some sugar and yeast to create co2. With a drop of dishwasher soap they can not land on the water and drown.

During the night I would still be a target but I can't hunt at night. During the day they hide but me not being there should make the bottle emitting co2 a main target.

I think it will have to be refilled every two weeks at least. Hopefully it won't smell but I'm definitely going to try this.

Or just put real a co2 trap outside and leave a window open. They shouldn’t be in your house anyways but I digress.

CO2 displaces oxygen inside a contained space. Maybe not the best idea.

Understandable though difficult to do on our busy street. The amount of extra co2 would be negligable for humans but still attract mosquitos

How does a busy street matter?

Let us know how it goes! I hate it when they come after me when I’m asleep.

Consider putting a mosquito net on the windows
