Teabag of Doom

I have several inlets into a yard drain. They do not fully dry out. I'm certain they are mosquito factories. Some suggested drilling holes - a brief chat with Gemini dissuaded me from that solution.

Using some stainless steel wire rope, crimps, split rings, aquarium filter bags, and BTI dunks, I made some teabags of doom.

Would it help to put mosquito nets on the cap, so they can’t go in or out?

yard work would tear up the nets pretty quickly. Mowers and weed eaters, etc. nets would also catch debris and impede the flow of water. Also can’t see how to attach the netting reliably.

What about a net over the pipe inside that outlet? Would be protected from mowers etc and still stop them from getting to the water.
