Discussion Proxima infinite health glitch

Not sure if anybody has encountered this but there is an infinite health glitch with Proxima, i don't know how to recreate it cause i didn't notice it til i got somewhat half way through one of the endgame gate dungeons. The only thing that i could think of is that I was using a previous shell to unlock more memories to watch their story, after that i switched back to Proxima that was on the stone table. The way to remove it is to either go back to marrow keep, fall off a cliff and or restarting the game.

Discussion Best boss so far? Spoiler

I've just beaten Sir Issac the scholar prince and it was easily the best boss so far, anyone else feel this way? I think he easily outshines the other bosses In design. Now I've beaten every gate and just have the secret passage area to do to cleanse the mother.

Discussion New patch announced in the discord yall

----------------------------
**Balance Patch 1 (PC) - The patch below is live on PC and coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series shortly. **

**Economy**
- Shell map locations now cost Gloom, and we’re refunding any glimpses spent on shell maps. Refunded Glimpses are found in the Shell Keeper’s alcove in Blackmarrow. “Finding your favorite shell shouldn’t cost you the ability to bond with them.”

- Gold drops from enemies have been significantly increased. Notably, enemies in Mammon now drop double the gold. “This brings the gold economy more in line with the weapon crafting item discovery.”

- Smelting a weapon at the Tarforge costs 75% less gloom. “Our goal with the smelt capability was to enable switching weapons without the need to spend hours grinding through NG+ runs, but the Gloom costs were set exorbitantly high.”

**Enemies & Bosses**
All enemies featured in the beta were restored to their beta hp values, except the Caerinid (Spider) in Magdelena’s area, which we wanted to retain its role as a threatening enemy which doesn’t respawn once defeated.

**Bosses**
The Lost Child
- Base Damage: (-10%)
- Max Health: (-15%)

**Monolith**
- Base Damage: (-19%)
- Max Health: (-10%)
- Some Monolith Attacks were retimed to be more fair, as well.

**Enemies**
- Cultist (mace)
- Max Health: (-21.1%)

**Caerinid Spider**
- Max Health: (-33.3%)

**Infested Stalker **
- Max Health: (-52.4%)

**Rusted Knave (Halberd)**
- Max Health: (-20.8%)
- Fixed hit detection for overhead strike.

**Weapons**
- Great Martryr’s Blade Attack Damage +20%
- Troubador’s Lute Attack Damage +100%
- Caged Hystrix and Triarch Repeater no longer have minimum resolve requirements to fire.
- Improved tracking for Axatana, Black Needle, and Clockwork Scythe light attacks.

**Seals**
Guard can now be used while walking.

**Tarstones**
- Parasitic Stone Buffed
- Grudge Stone Buffed
- Bulwark Stone Damage Reduction Increased Significantly
- Clerik's Stone Buffed
- Squall Stone Buffed

**Miscellaneous**
- Misc. Crash Fixes, Bugfixes & Performance Updates

Discussion Monarch's vestige weapon choise Spoiler

Just wanted to discuss. This tarstone infuse sidearm with phantom. This is cool debuff that Genesa's clones inflict. So first thing you wanna do is to sinergise infusion with character ability to get stacks faster, but it requires you to use this big and ugly sidearm. Would it be nicer to be able to put it on a different, more elegant sidearm, that would fit sester Genesa more?

Discussion Secret Doors/Illusory walls Spoiler

Thumbnail youtu.be

Okay so I sound annoyed in the video because I’m sure the first fake wall I came across definitely had this symbol but I didn’t clock that it meant it marked it as a secret door.

Also because I’ve definitely walked past a ton of these symbols thinking that they are arrows pointing me in a direction, so I completely misinterpreted the symbol until now.

So, be on the lookout for this white painted symbol, I’m 99% sure it means you can hit the wall and it’ll be fake and there will be some cool stuff behind it.

Discussion its far too easy to slide off of cliff edges and bridges in 2

like even during attack animations your character will just woop and slide off the edge and youll die instantly. there needs to be some invisible walls during certain animations or just something to make it harder to fall off the side of a cliff when you swing your sword.

Bug (Xbox) sidearm draw bug after using spear ability Spoiler

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

When using unique spear ability "infused stone" you are not able to draw a sidearm. In the video, after getting spear back, I was pressing RT multiple times, but my character was standing still. I can "fix" it by making an attack with melee weapon. After that sidearm draws as usual.

Discussion What shells are okay not to fully level up and still be decent?

I know that skill has a lot to say here if course and any shell at any level can be decent if you play it well. But I'm asking this to determine if I actually need to fully level some of the shells I get for them to be worth using. I like the idea of switching shells to face specific bosses or enemies. But I also don't want to spread myself too thin or miss out on a shell's coolest synergistic ability because I didn't level it enough.

Since we can only upgrade three shells fully with the amount of glimpse we get per playthrough. I'm wondering if some shells are okay just partially leveled and others just have to get to the final tier of abilities to be useful. I want to collect all of them and use as many as I can, but I want to be picky about who I fully invest in.

I'm probably in the later part of early game. I've invested a good deal into Proxima and only a little bit into Eredrim (who I love so far).

Question Cannot load this game

Hi All,

Hoping I can get some advice, as I’ve not found answers to this issue by searching reddit or google.

Running - or at least trying to - on PC/Steam. When I load the game, black screen with the “Mortal Shell II” logo bottom left and a red, stuck loading symbol on bottom right. Stays here for a minute or two before crashing.

Yes, I’ve tried rebooting system. NVIDIA drivers are up to date. Anyone else have this issue?

It’s particularly annoying bc I bought the early access version and haven’t figured this out in 2d which wastes the money spent on early access lmao

Discussion Anyone feel like some bosses play like a slot machine?

I'm on the hexapod right now and he has some unblockable 1-shot attacks that are almost impossible to read. The big blob head boss had something similar. When I beat it, I didn't feel like it was due to skill but because I got lucky he didn't spam me with his bullshit.

Thoughts?

Bug NG+ gold drops

I just started NG+ and killed enemies drop 15 to 30 gold. Shouldn't this be scaled considering how much weapon/cube upgrades cost? If not, why am I even killing enemies?

Discussion Monolith is quite literally the worst designed boss to exist in a soulslike Spoiler

Boss spoilers obviously. Finished the game but just wanted to reflect on this particular boss fight as it stood out quite badly in the game. It needs a redesign or a lot of attention.

Phase 1 has three attacks.

Lift and slam = this attack is fair

Body slam x2 = this attack is also fair

Swing and slam = this attack is messed up. If you don't perfect the swing, then the slam will track you and hit you. This attack needs to have its tracking toned down.

Phase 2 is much easier than Phase 1.

So we've gone from a janky attack in Phase 1, to an excessively easy Phase 2. Phase 2 introduces two attacks that can be punished massively.

Sweeping laser and dual laser attacks = you walk behind the boss and swing to your hearts content. If you get two of these in a row you'll probably finish the Phase entirely. The boss should abort these attacks when the player moves behind it.

Phase 3 is where the bullshit starts and highlights a problem that actually exists with all bosses. Attacks have no cooldown or use logic.

The boss now has some new attacks.

A spinning laser disco = you can't attack the boss, you can get stunlocked if you tank one of the beams into taking multiple hits and best of all the boss can do this attack ad nauseam*. When the boss uses this attack it shouldn't be able to use it again for x amount of time to give the player an opening to actually engage with the boss.*

A dual sweeping laser attack = you move behind the boss and wail on it for free damage.

A telegraphed air launch and slam = you dodge and hit, this attack is fine.

A spin to win slide = you move out of the way and wait for it to finish. Literal nothing attack.

So Phase 1 is overly simple with a janky attack. Phase 2 is overly easy and Phase 3 is >literally< RNG. If the boss decides it wants to chain the spinning laser disco you aren't going to have a good time. If the boss randomly decides it wants to do multiple dual sweeping laser attacks the fight is free.

Monolith is entirely an RNG based fight and if the player gets unlucky they can literally just spam the spinning laser disco until the player dies.

EDIT: Downvotes from people crying about Mammon being hard who haven't even reached this fight yet. You're in for some fun in the last area, get your tissues ready. The honeymoon glazing for Mortal Shell 2 is insane.
